Storm the Gates of Hell Lyrics
Broken teeth, a shattered jaw
Ten to one, behold my God
Wicked sons of heaven's loss-
Raise your own inverted cross
King's of earth, iron fist-
Serve the sacred you dismissed
Stand before your final day
Choke on every line you pray
Raise your glass to death/Not one second left
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Storm the Gates of Hell
Coward's heart, a serpent's tongue
Stand to face what you've outrun
Fear of death, fear of pain
Bound to all you took in vain
No more lies, no regrets
Sever ties and hollow debts
Open eyes, live to learn
Or watch your blessed temple burn
Raise you glass to death/Not one second left
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Storm the Gates of Hell
Hell Hath No Fury At All
Ten to one, behold my God
Wicked sons of heaven's loss-
Raise your own inverted cross
King's of earth, iron fist-
Serve the sacred you dismissed
Stand before your final day
Choke on every line you pray
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Storm the Gates of Hell
Stand to face what you've outrun
Fear of death, fear of pain
Bound to all you took in vain
No more lies, no regrets
Sever ties and hollow debts
Open eyes, live to learn
Or watch your blessed temple burn
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this
Stand beside me, Storm the Gates of Hell

"The lyrics for this song came to me when I was reading the Psalms. It talked about the “kings of the earth” and worldly rulers. My intention is to warn these people, in our day and age, to beware of the almighty power of God. It also acts as a call for everyone who listens, to lay down their worldly cares, take up their swords, and fight with us against the evil and Godless powers of this world. To “storm the gates of Hell,” means to boldly stand in the face of adversity, and strike back against Satan’s deceitful ways." - Demon Hunter
Arise, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. -Psalms 3:7

Freaking awesome... "Hell Hath No Fury At All"
Freaking awesome... "Hell Hath No Fury At All"
This song is incredible i can't listen to it enough. The album is awesome, I little bit softer than there old stuff though.
aw man great song and great message. that little saying "hell hath no fury than a woman scorned" or something. but dh is saying "naw. hell hath no fury AT ALL." RAWK ON!
its about the tribulation, right? "Wake the lifeless, die to fight this Stand beside me. Storm the Gates of Hell" it talks about the dead Christians coming to life again--"wake the lifeless" and the final attack on hell, right?
I think the meaning is rather obvious: fighting Satan and worshipers of him.
Wicked sons of heaven's loss Raise your own inverted cross
Definitely not just talking about the sinner, but WORSHIPERS of Satan.
Wake the lifeless, die to fight this Stand beside me. Storm the Gates of Hell
And that would obviously be about fighting.
No more lies, no regrets Sever ties and hollow debts Open eyes, live to learn Or watch your blessed temple burn
I'm almost positive this part is talking to Christians. "Sever ties..." with worldly things perhaps? And "Open eyes" through "temple burn" seem to be telling Christians to wake up and fight the evil of Hell.
On another note...sick song. Great way to open the album, and has DH's trademark amazing lyrics. Probably my favorite lyrics from the album besides those on "Sixteen". Well, it's a tough decision, there all so awesome!
