Actually, the English version you're talking about (also by Feist) has completely different lyrics than the French. By which I mean, it's the same tune, but not a translation. In fact, "La Même Histoire" means "the same story," not "we're all in the dance."

This song fits Paris, Je T'Aime so perfectly, and it was great to hear Feist at the end of an amazing movie. Such a beautiful song.

"On vit au jour le jour" translates to "We see from day to day" not "We live from day to day" And I would translate "On avance/Au fil du temps/Au gre du vent" as "We advance/In the course of time/At the will of the wind" I think "Ou vont ces destins qui se nouent" , translates to something like "Where does this fate/destiny which is formed go", word for word it's "Where go this destiny/fate which itself forms"
