Time and time again I stand at the crossroad.
Where the weight of my burden eclipses my resolve.
This broken path I've chosen, I walk it alone.
Though I feel forgotten, you've carved my name in stone.

In these desperate times.
This I plead.
When all else fails remember me.

This is daily crucifixion and these rusty nails leave scars.
My jagged crown is at my side.
Anguish is never far.

In these desperate times.
This I plead.
When all else fails remember me.

This is a blood-oath.
They are nothing to me anymore.
But your voice means more to me than you'll ever know.

There's no question, you're the answer.
I will find you.

In these desperate times.
This I plead.
When all else fails remember me.

In these desperate times.
This I plead.
When all else fails remember me.

    No , I doubt it's about a soldier.

More than likely it's about a man(Howard Jones) struggle with everyday temptations and the wrong decision he makes, but he has faith that God will save him. He is wanted the right thing to happen but in these times it's so hard for him, but he still has faith. The line "There's no question, You're the answer, I will find you." I think is God either speaking to him saying he has a reason, or Howard saying he believes he will live a better civil life for God , for himself as well.

"In these desperate times , this is plead. When all else fails , remember me." Basicilly he's saying God to remember him and that he has lived for him, and when his death or the raptue, for God to remember him.

It's not secret that Howard Jones is a Christian and has faith.

    cheers.
