Str463 - You're right. The entire song is Howard relating the desperate times of his life to the pain and anguish that Jesus went through in his crucifixtion. It cracks me up how people cannot see this relationship even when this song has blatant clues...(crown of thorns, rusty nails, CRUCIFIXTION?)
This song is awesome though becuase you can almost feel how much Howard is pleading for God to remember him when his time comes, that he tried his hardest to stand true and strong throughout his daily trials.
