I reside in 209, you're in 208
You moved in last Friday night
And I just couldn't wait
So I tried to call across the hall to ask you out someday
But a lineup formed outside your door
And I was way too late

Well, I'd rather start off slow
This whole thing's like some sort of race
Instead of winning what I want
I'm sitting here in second place

Because somewhere the one I want to be with's, with somebody else
Oh God, I want to be that someone that you're with
(I want to be that someone that you're with)
And I can talk about it all day long 'til I run out of breath
But I still want to be that someone that you're with
(I've got to be that someone that you're with)

And I'm pacing by the phone
'Cause I hate to be alone
And if you're out there with him somewhere and just about to kiss
Then God, I want to be that someone that you're with

Well, I hear your favorite songs you sing along with everyday
And I borrow things that I don't need for conversation sake
Last night I heard your key, it hit your lock at 4 A.M.
Instead of being out with me, you must be out with them

Well, somewhere the one I want to be with's, with somebody else
Oh God, I want to be that someone that you're with
And I can talk about it all day long 'til I run out of breath
But I still want to be that someone that you're with
(I've got to be that someone that you're with)

And I'm pacing by the phone
'Cause I hate to be alone
And if you're out there with him somewhere, and just about to kiss
Then God, I've got to be that someone that

I want to be that someone that
I've got to be that someone that you're with

This is a pretty good song. The whole albums good. Anyway, the song is about a girl that he wants to be with, but she's already with somebody. Feel sorry for chad, but the song is good. I cant believe im the first to comment on this song, its good enough to comment on.

Okay, I love this song. I guess one reason why I like it so much is because I'm in the same predicament as the girl in this song is.......

It's a guy who wants to be with a girl, yet she's already with someone else.. and she wants to be with him to yet can't.. because she's with someone else..

    Kickass song...

yeah i reckon it's pretty obvious what it's about, it's a fairly straight forward song. It's not my favourite from the album but i still love it!

I feel like this songs my anthem right now

The guitar in this song is absolutely amazing, it blew me away the first time I heard it

"And I can talk about it all day long ‘til I run out of breath But I still wanna be that someone that you’re with"

I love those lines, cus if you've experianced this type of situation they're so true

Well this song is one of my favorites from the album, it really connects alot to me because that is sorta what I'm experimenting right now. I love this girl but she's with someone else.

"Well I’d rather start off slow This whole thing’s like some sort of race" This is one of the truest part of any song I've ever heard... Obay the Oracle!

I am also in this kind of thing...she is no longer with the guy...but I refuse to be a backboard and she sees me as a best friend ayway so it sucks...but she is that someone that she's with...never gonna happen though

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
