Far Away by Nickelback This song is all about how you love someone no matter what, that even distance doesn’t really matter. I do think that no matter how far you maybe from the person you love, love still survives. And though it makes you lonely to think of a loved one far away from you it’s just the idea of coming home that you really looked forward to, hence the saying says, “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. This song is also about second chances. Like if you hurt your loved ones and then you just went away to escape or deal with your pain also, and then you find out that something in your life was missing, and that you being far away was a time wasted. Then the ones you left behind was patiently waiting for your return. And so you were asking for a second chance to correct your mistakes, and that you need not to be far away from them anymore. For me this song is in the point of view of a guy who loves someone but was unable to tell her how he feels, so the girl just went away somewhere, and then the guy was blaming himself not being able to tell her how he feels, hence “who was I to make you wait?”, maybe the girl loves him too and she is just waiting for him to admit it. But waiting for so long leaves the girl painful so she went away, leaving him with his secret. Then the guy realize that he loves her, so he was like lamenting of her being far away for so long, and that he loves her and miss her, and he is dreaming that she is there with him, and that he feels like dying if ever that he will not going to see her once again. The guy was probably asking second chance to be able to show to her that he loves her, and that he would do anything just to prove that love. And then the girl went home, and there conversation was summed up in this line: Guy: I wanted, I wanted you to stay, Cause I needed, I need to hear you say That I loved you, I have loved you all along And I forgive you, for being away for far too long Girl: So keep breathing cause I’m not leaving you anymore, believe it, hold on to me and never let me go And I think there love story became a happy ending. My friend loves the band Nickel back, and so as curios I am I wonder what Nickel back songs were like. While browsing on my laptop I found this song along with the others too, “If Everyone Cared”, “Someday”, “This is How You Remind Me”, “Photograph”, “Too Bad”, etc. No wonder my friend really loves this band because if you take a closer look at their theme, it’s really the reality, and anybody can relate to it. Try listen to their song, “Photograph”, and you will find it a very beautiful.

This song is just amazing!! To me this song sounds like he was having problems in his realationship and he left her and when he left her he realized how much he truly loved her and how much he couldnt live without her and now that he has her back hes not going to leave her anymore... just like how he says... I completely relate to this song and its now not only my favorite song but his too... oh and dont worry we are back together :0) Definently one of the best nickelback songs ever! I love it!

Such a romantic song, i think its a song either about Him leaving her and realising how much he loves her and wants her back. Or it could be she left him but he isn't angry because he loves her so much

I really think the meaning of this song is that you never really know how lucky you are to have this someone in your life. You love this person alot! but you never really know how much till you almost lose him/her. Thats when you really realize how much they mean to you and you cant live there life without them!! And that's when you start fresh! Start things new! shoe each other how much you really love each other. This song really showed me how lucky i am to have my bf in my life!!! I almost him this month! and i was on youtube and i saw this song to i played it and it hit me right then and there how lucky i really am to have him<3 Never give up on someone you love so much and you cant live without!Nomatter how hard things are just keep trying and keep showing him/her that you love them! and that you wont give up on themno matter what happens

Such a beautiful song, my boyfriend and I have spent most of our 8 month relationship apart because I attend university 4 hours away. He played this song for me over the phone and I just fell in love with it. I think its about difficulties in a relationship, that he feels as if their distancing but just wants her to know that he loves her more than ever.

This song to me is: My boyfriend and I planned to get married, he is in the navy, and I'm still going to school and working though I'm going to the navy. After three months we broke up because he couldn't handle the distance. He loves me and misses me but he feels he's tying me down and he doesn't wanna hold me back. It's so hard to take in and believe. Far away for far too long. He wanted to let me down as lightly as he could. I fucked that up when I questioned everything because my disbelief.

Well. This song, just hits me straight at the heart. I'm a guy who's too stupid for letting her wait too long, and even then she's still right there. I love her, she knows I do, but I'm just stupid in a way that I can't show/do anything to prove it to her. I've hurt her a couple of times. She cried for me. I cried for her. She just never left. The song to me it’s so romantic and painful at the same time. My best friend who I got a small crush when we were 9 years old, well the thing is we were kid and use to fight after he knew later when I was 11 he and I become more close still best friends but I have to move away still I did come to visit him when I was 13 I knew he liked me and I liked him, he left his address to his friend to give to me she said that she “lost it” so I lost contact with him I was 14 when I found he moved because I was doing other things with others friends .So this part fit this line this time this place misused,mistake TOO LONG TOO LATE Who was I to make you wait?-. All of this was in 2001. We were so perfect for each other but now I wonder if he is married with kids, with a kid and single or if he even thing about me at all.This fit this part Just one chance, just one breath just in case there just one left.
