It is a story song and was one of the first lyrics I wrote for the album. I think at the time it was easier to write a story to try and paint a picture of an emotional state. It is not a literal picture or the story of an event – more a fictional story that reflects an emotional state. The first verse talks about being in a cabin and waiting for someone to arrive and the feeling as they approach. I didn’t want to connect the characters in this song. It is about the moment before connection. We all tend to get a picture of how something is going to be before it happens. We get an idea in our heads and when it happens that picture changes. This is about that moment You realize where you are and what is about to happen, and if you are connecting with another person you realize they have a picture and it probably isn’t the same as yours!

this song reminds me of Matthew 4:18 when Jesus calls his disciples to follow him. Simon and Peter are so intrigued by Jesus' call that they just drop what they're doing and go to become "fishers of men." This song is sort of along the lines of Pitiful when Christian talks about looking away from Jesus' eyes, but in this song Christian "lost your face in the crowd for a while." Anyone else see the similarities?
