Walking Dead - Z-Trip
(Feat. Chester Bennington)

In the chill of the night
I can feel my heart racing
As I run towards the light
that seems so far away
Wondering forever
In the darkest of shadows
Wondering if I will ever see you again

Wondering if I will ever see you again
I'll take your love
(I'll take your love)
I'll take your hate
(take your hate)
I'll take you're desire

I'll take the world
when it turns on you
(when it turns on you)
I'll set it on fire

W-the-w-th-th-the walking dead
The walking dead (walking dead)

Digging in the dirt
I can feel you getting closer
Steadying my hands through the blistering pain
Anxiously awaiting for the earth to reveal you
Wondering if I will ever see you again (see you again)

Wondering if I will ever see you again
I'll take your love
(I'll take your love)
I'll take your hate
(take your hate)
I'll take you're desire

I'll take your heart
I'll take your pain
(I'll take your pain)
I'll bring you to life

I'll bring you to life
W-the-w-th-th-the walking dead
The walking dead (walking dead)

I'll bring you to life
I'll take your love
(I'll take your love)
I'll take your hate
(take your hate)
I'll take you're desire

I'll take the world
when it turns on you
(it turns on you)

W-the-w-th-th-the walking dead
I'll take your love
(I'll take your love)
I'll take your hate
(take your hate)
I'll take you're desire

I'll take your heart
I'll take your pain
(I'll take your pain)

I'll bring you to life

good point, but it does have chester in it, an it sounds sweet. Yeah, it may be about digging up his girlfriend, but the whole song, he sings like she's already alive, so maybe he is trying to "revive" her, in a sense, but only metaphorically speaking. I think that She became popular, or something, through some things she did, and in his eyes, she's lost, and that the world will fall on her in some way, where every one will be angry at her, hence "I'll take the world when it turns on you" and he'll be the only one that she's got left, and then she'll be "revived" in the sense that she's bakc to the way she was, the way that he likes her.

Maybe I’ve warped this too much into my own personal issues; but, to me, the "death" and "dead" part seems to be more of a metaphor.

I think that its definitely a twisted love song. in general, I believe that [he] is singing to [his girlfriend] who ran from their relationship because she got too scared of falling in love with him.

Maybe the girl had never fallen in love before she was with him, so got scared and pushed him away. Upon this, she put on a façade and completely changed herself--pretending to be stoic and emotionless, therefore, the title is “walking dead”

And he--also in love-- let her go, and now regrets it. Hence him doing everything he can to try and reach her. The first verse implies this.

The second verse, I think, is him trying to get her to…admit that she loves him, if you will.(“Waiting for the earth to reveal you”--once again, uses the motif of the dead). She fights the whole way and makes it very difficult and, probably, painful (I’m thinking of emotions, here). That façade she put on is very strong, and he repeats “wondering if I will ever see you again”.

When he sings the chorus, its like he’s telling her what he promises (yes, I sounds twisted, but, as I stated, I think it’s a twisted love song.). And “I’ll bring you to life” is representing that he’ll bring back that emotion that she lost (taking her façade down), and that he’ll make her whole again.

Well this is overly long but I hope that articulated my thoughts well enough so that they’re understood. And, if anyone cares enough, feel free to email me if I completely confused anyone.

OK, so I'm the first one. I'm the biggest fan of Linkin Park, and this song in it's self is sweet. I think it's about..........well, let me think. It's probably about someone sitting back and watching their "love" make weird decisions. to him, he's not seen, but all he does is help. she doesn't see him yet, but he says that some day he will be the only one ther for him, as it says, "I 'll take the world when it turns on you, I'll set on fire." Yeah, that's all I've got.

i thought up another meaning (not too diff from yours, and it doesn't fit some of the lyrics): i think that whoever the speaker is talking about, she is someone who seems to be alive from the outside but empty and dead in the inside(hence, the walking dead) and the speaker is trying to "bring her to life" anyway it kind of reminds me of evanescence's "bring me to life", only it's the other way around i still like what i mentioned on the previous post the most(digging bodies) but i like yours too

well the beginning words to the song is missing..

its starts off in a creepy scary voice (not chester):

"suppose you were to die tonight...what would you say? .......... do you believe in life after death??"

meaning pretty much self explainable. song is eh alrite. his voice rocks whether he's screaming or singing. or better yet both.

sweet, those are great interpretations. I still do go by a lot of what I said before, but you guys have changed my interpretation, ever so slightly, but not a whole lot. I do agree that he's trying to bring her back, but still in the popularity issue, or something. anyway, this is one of the first interpretation page that in the first 6 comments, no one has criticized it yet. that's gotta mean something.

It's Z-Trip featuring Chester Bennington. We can all assume though that he wrote the lyrics perhaps.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
