In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Oke, Kyo is a French band, kinda rock kinda music, really cool, kinda refreshing..
GREAT GREAT SONG !! Oke, I'm dutch and I get french in school so I kinda understand what their singin about.. the chorus means something like:
Our roads are crossing And we keep distance And I hate you with all my heart But though I kinda like you..
WOW !! that's just so great....and then.. the singer is really good (and Sita too, that's the womans voice, she's dutch :-p ) and the drummer and bassplayer and guitarplayer are really good too...just listen to 'Tout envoyer l'air'

kyo is an awesome band - this song is great, and lyrics are beautiful... and would be even if they weren't in french... though that definitely helps. being a fluent french speaker, i'm going to have to disagree with cryingoutloud (sorry!) the (non-literal) translation of the chorus is more along the lines of:
we followed the path we kept our distance and I hate you with all my heart but I love you...
i guess it works better in french, but the point is that he's come so far & worked so hard for someone he knows he can never have, and he hates her for it
I'm american and I love Kyo. I was introduced to them on my trip to France this past spring. Their entire CD holds so much meaning to me and I would love to see them live.
