As life hangs beside me
I gather all that I can
You were never one for confrontation
But now it all lies in your hands

Ooh, your hands
Ooh, your hands
Ooh, your hands
Ooh, your hands
Your hands
Your

Who'll be there to tell
Me how stupid I am?
Who'll be there to tell
Me how stupid I am?
Who'll be there to tell
Me how stupid I am?
Who'll be there to tell
Me how stupid I am?

Who will keep me from lashing out? (lashing out!)
Anxiety chokes me like razor wire (razor wire!)
Who will keep me from lashing out? (lashing out!)
Anxiety chokes me like razor wire (razor wire!)

Now it's
All in
Your hands (all in your hands!)
Now it's
All in
Your hands (all in your hands!)
Now it's
All in
Your hands (all in your hands!)
(Your hands)
Now it's
All in
Your hands (all in your hands!)
(Your hands)
(Razor wire!) [Repeat x12]

It's the demo version off their "Heart Skull" (ep). It's still incorrect, but close enough.

i think the meaning of this song is about suiside like when he says as life hangs beside me like while hes still alive, and then he says u were never 1 for confrontation like hes asking sum1 for help like nancy in the song then he says but now it lies in ur hands saying that his giving up his choice wut to do u to nancy or whoever and thats its in their hands to help him and then when hes done his confession through out the song at the end its the person hes asking for help talking and that person is telling not to and saying who will tell me how stupid i am and that who keep me from lashing out well thats pretty explanitory and then he says axiety chokes him like razor wire like hes saying that the axiety and the thought of it is killing him and he finds it hard to talk to him about and hes saying it feels like its choking him

i dont know how much about suicide this is, so much as it is about anxiety. not just because he says so in the last few lines, but because the whole song seems to outline the kind of thought process that might be influenced by anxiety issues.

"who will keep me from lashing out" when you have a panic attack, you just lash out, you lose control.

"I just wish I could just show you what a huge problem this is. " It's hard to explain to people why you freak out over the littlest things. but it does happen, and it is a serious problem!!

"I keep thinking about, right now, all these awful things, and I don't believe it Where do I have to go so it'll stop? "

depression is kinda linked with anxiety.. and throughout either your mind just goes.. wild with a lot of negativity.

    anyways, that's just my perspective.

oh and instead of "insane woman", i think it's stray bullet. that will "take him out".. not 'freak him out'..

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran

He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
