the meaning that i see behind this song is that even though satan tries to rule with his Broken hands, he will NEVER take the LIGHT that Jesus has put within us.
idk he's singing to satan thats kinda scary but you can definately tell what he's talking about.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. This is not a Christian song. The writers sound depressed and held down by their own demon/s struggling to break free. Not sure why so many are sugar-coating this secular tune.

this is a very powerful song, and fairly straightforward.
What I think it's about when a preacher talks to a atheist and the preacher gets caught up with the atheists words and he get's, i dont know if im sayin this right but he kinda believes in satan thats my guess.
