Right here what we gon' do is go back
Way back
Way back, yeah

I met him when I was a
Little girl, he gave me
He gave me poetry
And he was my first

But in my heart I knew I
Wasn't the only one
Cause when the tables turned
He had to break up

Whenever I got lonely
Or needed some advice
He gave me his shoulder
His words were very nice

But that is all behind me
Cause now there is no other
My love is his and his is mine
A friend became the

Love of my life
You are my friend
Love of my life
I can depend
Love of my life
Without you, baby
It feels like a simple true love

Hope this shit ain't clear
A freak-freak ya'll, and ya don't stop
To the beat ya'll and ya don't stop
A freak-freak

Or could it be that it was
All just so simple then
A teenage lover who said
He's just a friend

He moved around and we kept
In touch through his friend Mike
The world was young and he knew
We couldn't rush but

Whenever I got lonely
Or needed some advice
He gave me his shoulder
His words were very nice

But that is all behind me
Cause now there is no other
My love is his and his is mine
A friend became the

Love of my life
You are my friend
Love of my life
A dude I can depend, yeah, yeah
Love of my life
Feels like a simple true love, yeah

Love of my life
You are my friend
Love of my life
A dude I can depend, yeah, yeah
Love of my life
Feels like a simple true love, yeah

Hope this shit ain't clear

Y'all know how I met her
We broke up and got back together
To get her back I had to sweat her (sweat her)
Thought she roll wit bad boys forever
In many ways them boys made her better
To grow I had to let her (let her)
She needed cheddar and I understood that (that)
Lookin' for cheese that don't make her a hood rat (rat)
In fact she's a queen to me, her light beams on me
I love it when she sings to me
It's like that and a

Ooh you know you rock my world
And you be boy and I'll be girl
And we don't stop until the break of dawn
Ooh you know you rock my world
And you be boy and I'll be girl
And we don't stop until the break of oohhh

This song means that you should hold on to childhood love because it is the best kind of love you may ever experience in your lifetime because it is so innocent and pure. As a child you love people in a simple way.

this song is a song about the love of hip hop....the REAL thing and not "hip pop." =P i love this song, because it reminds me that i can turn to hip hop to soothe my soul - "his words were very nice." REAL hip hop always seems to make me feel better...he's a true friend... =]

I love this song, and the movie Brown Sugar. My favorite part is when Syd says that she used to love him and she still does and in the music video when it say he used to love her. In a way, the song is talking about the movie. It's about a girl and a guy in love who still don't look at each other as a love intrest. They always call on each other whenever they are in trouble, need advice, or need someone to listen and understand. They don't realize that the one for them has always been there even as a child. In Brown Sugar Syd and Dre say they are just friends yet they don't see that their love for each other grew with hip hop. Throughout the movie Syd reads lines from her book and just watching the movie once, you might think she was talking about hip hop, and a little bit of it was. Dre wouldn't ask Syd on the radio when did she first fall in love with hip hop if they wern't calling there feelings for each other hip hop. Some of the things they say when they are talking about hip hop somewhat relate to them. Basically the song and the movie are saying two things. One, hip hop is losing it's way, and two, you still love him/her.

Oh, and hip hop is losing it's way. There isn't any hip hop out their any more. Notice on radio stations that play hip hop, it's actually rap. Don't confuse rap with hip hop, they are different! Hip hop relates to true experinces and flows easily. Hip hop is something you can throw yourself into and find a way to free your imaginations and life experinces. Rap is just a bunch of shit about cars, clothers, money, jewelry, and ho's. At least know the difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm a lover of hip hop...hip hop is my survival, it gets me by, through all the hard times, the pains...it makes me smile, it makes me cry, its real...you dont get that anymore, but even though its on its deathbed, it will always be my first love, my last love and truest friend. the one who taught me all i need to know, inspired me when no one else would, and comforted me when everyone else abandoned me... tears may dry on their own but hip hop does a better job of wiping them away...this song is a true ode to hip hop..looooove it to bits..XxX

completly stolen form commons i used to love h.e.r but its erykah so its okay. the song tells the story of hip hop in erykahs eyes and how she grew with hip hop as if it were her friend or boyfriend. a significant part of her life like hip hop is with me and so many others. if your a true hip hop head you should be able to spot all the puns and used hip hop lyrics!

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
