Summerbaby, come on baby, show me the town
I didn't know that you'd be such a short visit
Once a year I noticed that you're not around
Mama says you went when you were exquisite

If you seen all I done
When I'm alone I do things nobody knows

We were all wondering where you came from
Last night we were hypothesizing that you were an angel
Sometimes it feels like you're looking down
From up above where the angels are found

If you seen all I done
When I'm alone I do things that nobody knows
Every drop of sex and every little mess I make
I was around, I was around

I was around
(nobody knows, nobody knows)
I was around
(nobody knows, nobody knows)
I was around
(nobody knows, nobody knows)
I was around
(nobody knows, nobody-)

Do you see a lot of angels up there like you?
Wolfgang and Vincent van Gogh
Have you seen Josephine?
Someone from town like Marshall Brown?
Or someone you know?

If you seen all I done
When I'm alone I do things nobody knows
Every drop of sex and every little mess I make
I was around, I was around, I was around

I was around
(nobody knows, nobody knows)...

I may be wrong, but to me it sounds like it's discussing ... um, "self-gratification".

He meets this girl one summer and falls in love/lust with her. She leaves for one reason or another, and he fantasizes about her after she's gone. And I'll leave it at that ...

(Someone please tell me I'm wrong!!)

If you take the song to be about masturbation, "I was around" could be a sly way of saying "I came"

They changed the lyrics for the episode of Pete and Pete that this song appeared on. They replaced "Every drop of sex" with "Every time I guess." So even if it is about masturbation, the meaning was hidden well for the show.

The girl probably died based on the "Do you see a lot of angels up their like you?". He still thinks of this girl when he is masturbating and even when he is with other women.

this song is from 'hard days pete' it is is season one i think calling it one of the best shows from nickelodeon is doing pete and pete an injustice. it is easily one of the best shows of all times. the show is so far ahead of its time. and it is something you can enjoy at any age it is fun to go back and watch certain episodes and catchin innuendos

plus each episode has so many different stories that weave together much like seinfeld does. it just sad there were only 3 seasons

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
