This song seems like its about a guy that lost his girlfriend, and he's pretty much lost all hope/faith, and his friend is telling him to pull himself together and to get back to his faith, and the star represents God calling him back.

Actually, the Morning Star is another name for Lucifer. So perhaps the song is about temptation or the inherited weak will of man.

i think the star is about hope, and trying agian, you know the phrase, reach for the stars, its kind of like the stars are calling for him, wanting him, begging him to try agian, and to get up, and keep living

there are also many, many churches named morning star. All of different forms of christianity. there is also a fellowship called morning star. maybe it has nothing to do with lucifer. But then again maybe it is.

Actually, Jesus is often refered to as Morning Star in the Bible. It says n the "glossary for reference to Jesus" page in my Bible.

yeah i definately think that this song is self explanitory but whatever. the morning star is satan in this case and its all about temptation with a woman..."she shut your eyes or did you do it yourself with time did you on purpose walk astray did you choose to be a liar." its about this guy calousing his conscience.

Jesus christ is the Morning star, and this songs talks about how some girl this dude was with was able to blind him, and make him fall away from his faith. in the chorus part, where it says "now you're sick of lying" its where he realizes that hes been lying to himself "Tonight a star is shining On a heart that's dying" he's restoring his faith, and Jesus is once again shining through him "The morning star is shining again" his faith in Jesus Christ is once again restored not really sure how to explain it, but hopefully this made sense....

i think this song is about how something didnt go right with a girl and its hurting him

then i think the morning star or the "sun" part is about how he has to move on and forget about her because theres no point in worrying because he probably wont get her back

i always wonder if the songs he writes are personal or if he just talking about everyone in general. like this one, is it about a person that he knows personally and he watched them get led away from God by a girl or is it about how any man in general can get led away from God by tempation. and also in the song Time Will Change Your Heart(cause i don't want to post it all the way over there) is he talking about someone he knows personally that doesn't believe in God and how they are constantly debating or is he directing the song to everyone who doesn't believe in God?
