Coming Back to Life Lyrics
Guess it's in all those small things
Eyes closed or eyes wide open
Something in the corner of everyone's eye
See or look away again
This time I won't ignore
Not hesitate just adore
And I think I'm starting to come alive
Life flooding my veins again
Feel I'm coming back to life
I'm falling
Feel I'm coming back to love
This black crow becoming white dove
Feel I'm coming back to life
I'm falling again
I'm falling in love
I guess it's in all those great important matters
We all like to bend around
We do our best to ignore
While our hearts is reaching for more
We are not synchronized
We are intellectualized
Feel I'm coming back to life
I'm falling
Feel I'm coming back to love
This black crow becoming white dove
Feel I'm coming back to life
I'm falling again
I'm falling in love
Eyes closed or eyes wide open
Something in the corner of everyone's eye
See or look away again
This time I won't ignore
Not hesitate just adore
Life flooding my veins again
I'm falling
Feel I'm coming back to love
This black crow becoming white dove
Feel I'm coming back to life
I'm falling again
I'm falling in love
We all like to bend around
We do our best to ignore
While our hearts is reaching for more
We are not synchronized
We are intellectualized
I'm falling
Feel I'm coming back to love
This black crow becoming white dove
Feel I'm coming back to life
I'm falling again
I'm falling in love

How Could You! This Song Is Tight! And The Part Were He Goes "Feel I'm Coming Back To Life" Tight Part, Love His Voice!
this song is about falling in line and joining the crowd, we lose all of our individuality by trying to be like every one else, "coming back to life" is a metaphor for breaking away from the crowd and being yourself, he feels himself falling back into line but then breaks out again thats what i thought at least
These guys are religious in other songs. This one here they use the Crow and Dove. Yeah they are great symbolically but they also were used in stories told about Noah... crow sent to report about world but does not come thru so Noah send the Dove... Anyhow this song is about finding religion and a way of life. <<Here he speaks of the Commandments>> "great important matters We all like to bend around We do our best to ignore While our hearts is reaching for more We are not synchronized We are intellectualized "
Wow, people keep relating to all these minor things as intentional references to the Bible and Christianity. Don't take me wrong, I'm christian and I love the fact that Blindside is a very religious christian band. However, don't you guys think that the whole crow and dove thing a bit over the top? I mean, to many people, the crow represents evil and the dove peace...it doesn't have to be christian...
Anyways, I really admire the band's ability to put words to many emotions that people go through and add that to a great and beautiful song. I love the merch too, btw x3
Birds are spiritual representations of spiritual states, period. For example, a dove is represented as cleanliness and pure spirituality (Noah, Jesus' baptism) whereas a crow is not only represented in the bible but also used as a symbol of darkness and death (Isaiah 34:11).
For me, there's no doubt the song is basically about listening and responding to a divine call to come into light, and life.
