Kill Me
Something aches
Bad things slither
My floors are burning down
And I can't find a window

This is medieval
This is cerebral
Suffocated
Melodramatic

Driven to the verge of
I make you my enemy
The nerves you sever
Can serve you better

In the blink of an eye
In the space of a second
Open my wrists
Give me my lessons

(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt
(Tearing myself apart) from the things that make me hurt

    I think I get it...

The fisrt verse is about how something bad is happening to him, causing him pain and the world is about to fall on top of him....he wants to die, and there is no way out...

The next verse is about how it shouldn't be happening, but it does, and its like the pain of dying, but without the relief of death...

The third verse is about doing whatever he can to stop the pain, changing the sorrow or watever into hate and the promises he made to make things right were thrown downn the drain because the he realised he could use the pain to make himself stronger(the nerves you sever....can serve you better)...

The fourth verse is about how quickly he was able to let go and realize how the pain was a lesson, he will never go down that path again, never cause himself to go through it again..

Ans the last bit is sort of self explanatory......Tearing myself from the things that make me hurt...

I could be totally wrong, but I feel like these lyrics sort of relate to the situation im going through at the moment...and thats the explanation I can give for myself...

Well, if you think I'm right or wrong, reply to me.

I made a lot of research and I think I find a little bit about this weird song... Shawn Crahan said "If you understand Tattered and Torn, then you understand the clown." Shawn was the creator of Tattered and Torn. So what I found about the Clown mask is that:

At 15 years old, Shawn was walking in a shopping center with his girl friend of this time that he was supposed to bring at the restaurant. They past in front of a prank shop where Shawn saw a clown mask that he liked. His girl friend remind it that they were there to go to a restaurant and not to buy a Stupid mask. They next week, the mask was in the room of Shawn but it’s only 10 years later that he put on the mask at a Slipknot repetition Just for fun like he said. For Shawn, his mask represents the happy way, the infantile vision of the character, but he also shows what really hide behind the mask... The classic mask past to the aggressive one with a nail in the head.

In my opinion, the song Tattered and torn is about is youth...Something bad that happen to him. The song is best understood as a song about a person hurting his or her self, and hiding from the things that make me hurt. So if we remember what he said: If you understand Tattered and Torn, then you understand the clown The clown is all about the memories that he have in his mind! The clown is Shawn’s story, his past life! But we can’t really know what happen to him...

I can't really understand this song. It's just sick! Shawn on the song: "If you understand this song, you understand the clown!"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
