Dónde fuiste a parar, dónde estás

Pensando (ah ah)
Ay, pensando

A smell of tabaco and Chanel reminds me of the smell of her skin a mixture of honey and coffe reminds me of the taste of her kisses the color of de end of the night asks me where I went to stop, where you are and that you just live once where did you go to stop, where are you?

chorus: A smell of tabaco and Chanel a mixture of honey and coffe they ask me for her... heeeeeeer they ask me for heeeeeeer also the stars aks me they claim that it has to come back for her it has to come back for her it has to come back for her

she's not leaving, she won't forget she's not leaving, she won't forget she's not leaving, she won't forget, nothing, nothing

A rose that didn't grow but the time will not let her dy a promised flower, a love that was not there but did go on living and another time the color of the end of the end of the night asks me where I went to stop, where you are and that you just live once where did you go to stop, where are you?

    chorus

But it were the same stars that a day mark my hands and took this flower, this flower of my life away

    chorus

I hope this translation most accurately captures the meaning of the song.

    TABACO Y CHANEL by Bacilos

A smell of tobacco and Chanel brings to mind the scent of her skin, and a mixture of honey and coffee reminds me of the taste of her kisses.

The color of the end of the night asks me where I ended up (Where are you?) Oh you can live those moments only once. Where did you ever you end up? Where are you?

---Chorus--- A smell of tobacco and Chanel and a mixture of honey and coffee ask me for her (her) they ask me for her.

The stars also ask me the same, they demand that I go back for her oh that I go back to her (her) oh that I go back for her.

A rose that never blossomed but also never withered in time, a flower promised, a love that never was, but somehow continues to live.

and one more time, the color of the end of the end of the night asks me where I ended up Oh you can live these moments only once. Where did you ever end up? Where are you?

    ---Chorus---

But they were the same stars that, one day, marked my hands and they took the flower, that flower of my life, out of my life.

    ---Chorus---

she's never gone, she's never forgotten (x3) na na na na

she's never gone, she's never forgotten (x3) na na na na

This is a song dedicated to his wife who passed away, or someone who left to never come back.

In this first verse he tells how her skin smelled like tobacco and chanel, the makeup; and her kisses tasted like coffee, yet they were sweet.

When the morning arrives he wonders where she is now? and where is he standed?

Because marriage with one you love is only (supposed to be) lived once

    Coro:

Her memories still make him wonder where she is? They still remind him a lot of her.

Not only the morning, but also the night (the stars) remind him about her. Seems that she passed away in the night, because the song Caraluna is also about her.

No se va no se olvida, no se va no se olvida, no se va no se olvida, nada, nada,

He won't forget nothing about her.

A rose that didn't bloom but is still preserved; what i get from here is that she passed away so young, and so perfect that she didn't had the time to bloom, and the memory of her perfection is still present, still young.

The promised flower that didn't happen but still lives. Same as above, she is still remembered with love and pain.

(again, the morning reminds him about her)

Strongest part of the song, the stars (destiny, the unknown, mistery, i might guess) took her away from him, leaving a scar on him forever.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
