| Parachute – What I Know Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| What a great song. The lyrics are so sad, but the beat and the music and the background vocals are fantastic. It gets stuck in my head so easily. Love this whole album<3 | |
| Alex Goot – Sensitivity Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| just kidding. i'm wrong. but! I think changed my hair would be funny. | |
| Alex Goot – Sensitivity Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This is honestly one of my favorite songs right now. I love his covers, but I'm so pumped for some more original material from him. Alex Goot is fantastic<3 | |
| Alex Goot – Sensitivity Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Also, I'm getting "changed my hair" instead of "changed my head" during the chorus | |
| Demi Lovato – Skyscraper Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Beautiful. I think this song is pretty self-explanatory, especially considering where she's at in her life. Good for her! | |
| All Time Low – No Idea Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I'm nearly positive it's "Love, you take my breath away" rather than "Well, you take my breath away". At least I'm nearly positive it is the first time, not so sure about the second. Plus it just sounds way cuter =] This song is amazing<3 | |
| The OVERUNDER – Keep the Change Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Alright well this totally used to have a different title. I just don't remember it. Not to mention this title is totally ripped from All Time Low. | |
| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I'm loving the Nirvana reference | |
| Mayday Parade – The Silence Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I especially like the chorus line "the silence will set her free". "Say you love me" but he doesn't say that. He doesn't answer. And in the silence, she has her answer. Whether she likes it or not, she knows how he feels now and all she can do is try to detach. | |
| Mayday Parade – The Silence Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Some of the lyrics are wrong, but I'm not going to correct it. This song is about a girl who's totally head over heels for a guy that she had a relationship with. But he broke up with her because he "doesn't feel the same anymore". Or some other lame excuse like that. And she can't get over him, but he's completely cold to her now. He treats her like a stranger. Aghh, this hits close to home. =/ | |
| Mayday Parade – Anywhere But Here Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| like his writing or music.* | |
| Mayday Parade – Anywhere But Here Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| As for the meaning, I think it's simple. The relationship he's in isn't ideal. It's a lot of struggle and pain on both sides. But he has another girl on the side, and when things go wrong with the first one, he runs to the second one for comfort. Of course, this doesn't have to be taken so literally. His "secret love" could easily mean some other form of escape, like his writing or something. | |
| Mayday Parade – The Silence Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I said it in the Anywhere But Here comments, but I'll say it again. This vibe is reminiscent of the Hawthorne Heights, Armor For Sleep, and Silverstein era. I love it. It's not the happy techno stuff that we're hearing a lot of now, it's darker, but it's full of meaning. I love it, and I've missed this stuff. Fuck, I can't get enough of this. I have a feeling I'm breaking out The Silence in Black and White tonight. | |
| Mayday Parade – Anywhere But Here Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I absolutely love it. Fuck the new pop-punk shit. This is the good old pop-punk like in the days of hawthorne heights. I love it. It means something, and it's a tad darker. I can't get enough. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – New Perspective Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| and I disagree with the last verse. I think it just means he understands that thing's are changing, but he doesn't really want to explain it anymore. It is what it is. He doesn't want it to be perfectly understood. "Don't wanna live a life that was comprehensive, cause seeing clear would be a bad idea". Or whatever the lyrics are. He likes his life a little messy and abstract. | |
| Panic! at the Disco – New Perspective Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I understand these lyrics were posted in the band's blog. But is it just me, or does anyone else hear "Can we fast-forward till you go down on me" before the second chorus? | |
| Jonas Brothers – Much Better Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| ahahaha. I haven't even listened to the song, I've just read the lyrics right now. And I'm not a huge fan of any of them. I'm just the type of person that knows some songs because they're played 24/7. But this makes me have so much respect for the Jonas Brothers it's ridiculous. Seriously, way to grow a backbone. I was never one to youtube and google every article I could find about the Nelena! Niley! Jaylor! splits. I'm embarassed that I even typed those just now. But anyways, point being, I don't know all the details, but from what I've seen, all the girls, minus Selena, made the breakups way too public. They wanted revenge. Selena was cool about it, as far as I know. The rest of them were just straight up pissy. Taylor was fucking psycho about it, I swear. That girl never missed a chance to talk about how dirty and evil Joe is. But seriously, this song, though I have yet to actually listen to it, is priceless. Solid gold. Oh, and I agree to the thing about the fans. I think of course it has some meaning to whatever girl he's seeing now, but even if he's not seeing a girl, he still has the fans to fall back on. Yeah, it's definitely taking some blows to previous relationships, but the chorus is all about the fans. I definitely believe that. | |
| All Time Low – A Party Song (The Walk of Shame) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
All of the "i'll turn right out"s are "our time ran out" there's a lot of other mistakes but I don't feel like correcting them |
|
| All Time Low – A Party Song (The Walk of Shame) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| mm this song is delicious<3 | |
| Evan Taubenfeld – Boy Meets Girl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| this song is so much fun! it's like summer and new love. I love it. I've had it on repeat all day today. =]<3 | |
| Gloriana – Wild At Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
aghhh this song <3 summer fun, oh my. i can't wait. =] |
|
| The OVERUNDER – Empty Words Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Oh and three corrections: In the first verse, I get so caught up it sounds It should be, I get so caught up in sounds The question mark park should be Ten a.m. comes and goes so fast And all the parts where it says backseat days should be backseat games |
|
| The OVERUNDER – Empty Words Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is my new favorite band. They remind me of EP All Time Low and Taking Back Sunday. The kind of music that reminds you of summer and humid weather and staying up all night and sitting on the roof at 7 am. It's good stuff, man. | |
| Mayday Parade – Miserable at Best Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I definitely did not cry for this song. However, One Man Drinking Games is a totally different story. Completely. | |
| Zombie Girl – Bleeder Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song. Is so fucking sexy. |
|
| The Friday Night Boys – High School Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
this song is gets stuck in my head all the time it's so mellow sounding for pop rock almost like a slow song but its still amazingly catchy |
|
| Akissforjersey – Marvin Gaye and How I Stole Myself Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Favorite part by far: Dry your eyes, dance in the sunlight Ughh, this band is so contagious. Zach's vocals are amazing. |
|
| Hanson – Yearbook Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
My2gaycats, were you there too when Taylor explained the meaning of this song?? I just remember him leading us to a very dark room after making us wear blindfolds and turning us around ten times. Hmmm. And jacinta, I used to skip this song too because it scared me! Though I was 6, not 14... =/ |
|
| Hanson – Where's The Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I actually think this song is genius. And in a very mature way, too. Dead serious. It's probably my favorite on the CD, or maybe second favorite next to Madeline. | |
| The Fold – Faster Still Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The best way to listen to this song is climbing out of the window in your room in the summer to sit on the roof of your house between 5:30 and 7 am, on one of those nights that you just can't sleep or realize that sleeping is such an inconvenient waste, watching the sunrise. And then climbing back down and feeling the morning dew on the grass on your bare feet. Listening to it in any other way just doesn't do it justice. | |
| A Change of Pace – Take Care Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
One second thought, the more I'm looking over the second verse and the end, I'm thinking the whole bit about breaking hearts is sarcasm. In the second verse he's noticing how everyone tries to find answers to everything and he's bothered with it. So, mockingly, he's basically saying: Ok, so you're all thinking that there's a significance of every detail in life? So what, when I pass out drunk from a hotel party does that have some crucial part to my fate and existence? And then at the end when he's talking about breaking hearts, that's mockery too. He's noticing how everyone takes things like fate and faith so seriously, so he's saying sarcastically: Oh s**t, you all think I'm going to hell if I don't straighten my life out. Looks like I'm in trouble, I better confess my sins and ask for forgiveness. *cue eye roll* Hmm, come to think of it, this might even be a mockery of faith. Of the strict conservative types, anyway. Wow, now that I'm figuring this out, I like this song a whole hell of a lot more than I originally did. =] |
|
| A Change of Pace – Take Care Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I don't think this is about a relationship at all. I think this is directed at people in general. They're trying to say that we need to stop analyzing our lives and looking for that "greater meaning", because in the end we're all dying. (In the end He'll come for us) So basically just live your life and enjoy it. And when he says "I've been looking for a safe way out, cause I am in the habit of breaking young girls' hearts", I think it's just a confession. He was calling everyone else out for looking too much into things and trying to fit everything into neat little boxes, so this is his fault that he's owning up to. |

| Valencia – Where Did You Go? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
(I'm sorry for posting so many comments!) I just wanted to say that I just listened and read the lyrics to Remember the First Day. And it's crystal clear that this song is all about Dana. Everything about this song is referencing to that song, even down to the title. So yes, this is a song about him getting, if not closure, then at least acknowledging how much he's still holding on. |
|
| Valencia – Where Did You Go? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| yeah, i thought my first theory was more accurate. but he has a girlfriend right now, so i thought maybe he was referencing her and saying he can finally move on from dana with his new girlfriend. i forget her name. | |
| Valencia – Where Did You Go? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I agree with xalixo. It's "my whole world felt new" As for the meaning, I have two theories. 1.) He's taking a good look at where he's at and realizing he's still holding onto a past relationship (ie: dana). He reflects on the relationship in an optimistic way, though, and he knows he'll never forget how she made him feel. This song is him admitting that though he misses her and the relationship was perfect, he has to move on. This is basically him getting closure on that part of his life and using that experience as something to grow from. 2.) This could be about a completely new relationship. He's found a new girl that has finally filled the hole that's brought him down in the past. He's accepting the fact that life goes on, and he's excited that this new love is making his world colorful again. Either way I think this song can be summed up in a phrase: when one door closes, another opens. It's a song about closure and new beginnings. |

| Dance Gavin Dance – Me And Zoloft Get Along Fine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| mmk, so i just read this whole cat fight more thoroughly and i have to say i agree with saint micah and tendos. i dont like hardcore screaming music or whatever the hell you wanna call dgd. BUT i did like this band, and I liked them a lot. why? because of jonny's voice. he set this band apart from a lot of the other bullshit this genre's coming out with. I'm not an "obsessive fan", so sharkbate, you can stop those fingers that I know are itching to call me out. and I will never claim to know what I'm talking about, because i just listened to the music, I didn't get involved with the personal shit. I've also listened to emarosa, and I like their new stuff way better than their old stuff because of jonny. Musically, jonny will always come out on top. I'm sorry to all you faithful dance gavin dance fans out there, but kurt just doesn't cut it for me. Have fun ripping this apart. | |

| Valencia – Que Sera Sera Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Like everyone else has stated, it's a song about him finding out that people are not what they seem. And yes, he is accepting it. However I think there's a little more in the song than that. Specifically, I think it's about him being with a girl that he's completely in love with. The relationship was amazing to him, complete with their own special spots and secret meeting places. You know, the mushy romantic stuff. From the song, I'm thinking it's a hill in a park. And he went off touring and while he was gone she was messing around. Well, he came back and found out not only that she cheated on him, but she's been doing it since day one. And he realized that everything that made their relationship special to him were something she shared with everyone she's been with, not just something sacred to their relationship. "if mountains could talk, this one would share it's secrets with me of what it has seen of you and the way you move" And so when he comes back and finds all this out, he keeps her around for a bit and just tries to sneak around and catch her in the act. But then he realizes that just by following her around, he's making her rule his life and that's exactly what she wants. So he gives up and says you know what, she isn't worth it if she's doing this. And he leaves and goes back to his music. (Basically explained in the whole chorus) Finally, the third verse is just him saying how even though he's cut all ties, it still hurt him like hell and he got completely shit faced. Almost enough for him to erase her completely, but not quite and he's realizing that no amount of alcohol is going to make their memories go away because he was obviously more attached to her than she ever was to him. |

| Forever the Sickest Kids – Whoa Oh! (Me vs. Everyone) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
it's definitely "i've got friends in highly low places" it's a pun on the country song by garth brooks that like completely took over the air waves a while ago and yeah the song's tons of fun. but the lyrics aren't that light hearted. i think this song is mainly him reflecting about some drama or other, but then again he's not giving a shit and he's still gonna party. kinda like he's just shrugging it off and pushing it to the back of his mind. |

| Alana Grace – Black Roses Red Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Oh and I'm sorry for being a pest but these lyrics are really bothering me I'm pretty sure that during the second verse it's "one last tear has come and gone" not "one last year has come and gone" And during the verses where it repeats "I'm feeling like I'll blame it on love" She also switches some of the lines to "I'm feeling like I've never known love" |
|

This is such a pretty song. Honestly, I haven't even read it but this song reminds me of the Twilight series. For some reason. Idk. I wanna learn how to play it on piano |

| Tokio Hotel – Thema #1 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love it. Mostly because I think everyone has a "britney" in their life, or knows one. And the sound is so raw and rough. But not in a crappy quality type of rough. I mean more like, it's so real and it's definitely more punk influenced than their newer popish stuff. Definitely one of my favorites on schrei | |
