What I Know Lyrics
I take the car and drive at night
The white stripes blur and ease my mind
When all that's left is a single light
Instead of this confusion
And I'm not certain of the way it was
And I'm not sure what I could've done
Oh I wonder if it'd be enough
To stop her from leaving
And I realize, the only thing I know is
She said I'm in love with someone else
She said, I fell in love with someone else
And I, I'm in love with someone
And that's all that I know for sure
I stopped the car and closed my eyes
I could see her face, but it takes a while
But it makes it like the morning lights
Slow and unfocused
So I go home and
She's sitting on the kitchen chair
Oh, her suitcase waiting by the stairs
Oh they're both poured out from all the years
And they're ready to let go
And I realize, the only thing that's shown is
She said I'm in love with someone else
She said, I fell in love with someone else
And I, I'm in love with someone
And that's all that I know for sure
She's in love with someone else
She said, She fell in love with someone else
And I, she's in love with someone
And that's all that I know for sure
And I'm on my knees
And I'm on my knees
And I'm on my knees
And I'm on my knees
Yes, and I realized
The only thing I know is
She said, I'm in love with someone else
She said, I fell in love with someone else
And I, I'm in love with someone
And that's all that I know for sure
She's in love with someone else
She said, she fell in love with someone else
And I, she's in love with someone
And that's all that I know for sure
I'm in love with someone else
She said, I fell in love with someone else

What a great song. The lyrics are so sad, but the beat and the music and the background vocals are fantastic. It gets stuck in my head so easily. Love this whole album<3
I actually made an account just to post this comment, hahaha. So, at first listen, I thought this song was really sad also. But, at the time, I was in a very unhealthy long-term relationship where I was being emotionally abused, yet I was completely in love with him and never dreamed of being with anyone else. After listening to this song through the entire deterioration and subsequent end of my relationship, I kept thinking of myself as the "she", and it completely changed the song for me. This is one of the most hopeful songs I've ever heard. It's saying that the "she", can, and has, fallen in love with someone else. She's moved past this bad relationship and has fallen in love with someone new, someone who won't hurt her. If anyone has ever been in a bad relationship, they know that moving on can be very hard. Really, finding the "someone else" to love, is a huge step and should be celebrated. This song has taken on a completely different meaning to me, but that's why it's my favorite song in the entire world. Of course, this is one girl's opinion, but I figured I'd share. xoxo
a few lyric corrections: should be "both worn out from all years" and "the only thing that's sure is" In that same set. Another powerful, emotional song. Wil gives it his all.
