"There's no single explanation" is interestingly followed by "and this long line of cars is all because of you". That sounds like a single explanation to me!
By adding "this long line of cars is all because of me" at the end, it fixes this mistake though. It makes me think that the long line of cars in the song is caused by us all, which is a combination of "you" and "me". |

It sounds to me like the narrator died and now is involved with a demon woman. The creature and monster from the chorus are both the woman that is saying the lines, and same for the icy blue eyes from the last verse. He's already dead so it makes sense. Maybe she's the devil, and he's her playground? |

My girlfriend hadn't shown me this song, but I had heard about it, and she would always try to sing the "You, are, looooved" part and I would laugh at her. Then I heard it, and I think his voice is incredible. No matter how he takes it, I think it's really catchy and well done, even if it's not the most impressive thing he's done. |

The fact that Atom is a Jew has nothing to do with the writing of this song. It's not an anti-Palestinian song as much as it is a "this issue is not as simple as you're making it" song. notaliveyet, you completely missed the point. Actually, you're probably exactly what he was writing about, someone who jumps to conclusions based on inaccurate information, i.e. all Jews hate Palestinians. |

Alright I'm tired of this conversation. On one side there are new fans who shouldn't be slighted for only having been introduced to their new stuff, and on the other side is this always-victim group that sits around and complains about how In Flames used to be good. Same people who pay to go to IF concerts and then complain about how they don't play stuff from the Jester Race.
What it really comes down to, is that In Flames has decided that, while the old stuff is good in its own way, they want to head in a different direction. Check this out; I went to see them 5 days ago at Sounds of the Underground and I sat through so many bands that were trash waiting for them to come on. They come on, and my girlfriend (non-metalhead) turns to me and tells me she actually likes them. I took the earplugs out that I had in since Black Dahlia Murder went on sounding like crap. So complain all you want, when it comes down to it, they finally have a sound that no other band has really done as well as them, even if some of the experimentation doesn't compare with the older stuff. Can we all just let go of our preconcieved notions? |

I think they made a mistake. Because "into your arms" is a place, the correct terminology would be "where love and death embrace". I think that would have worked a little better. And Ville's range really isn't that impressive, he just uses falsetto really well. Really good song nonetheless. |

this song.. this song.. is perfection. i've heard a lot of songs, but this song has everything. the singing.. oh, the singing. it's absolutely wonderful. to think one person could have both of those roles, screaming and singing, and do them both so well, is incredible. of course, the drumming is quite good as well. it's fast, but it doesn't sound like typical speedpunk usually does. the guitars are beyond explanation. both parts are tricky, and the harmonies work perfectly together. the lyrics are also insanely good, "i wish i could be the one, the one who won't care at all." this song is perfect in every possible way. it makes me grab my air guitar and start singing no matter where i am when i hear it. mmmmmm. |

the beginning of the song is not in 4/4 time, but the rest of the song is. the variety of instruments is classic dave, and the lyrics are very insightful and hit close to home for so many people. yes, i've heard the song and like that as well as the lyrics. it's ignorant to ask a bunch of DMB fans whether they've heard a song they're commenting on.

i've seen in flames twice, this song is about organized religion. anders said it himself at the show i was at a few weeks ago in philadelphia. he spoke about how "this next song is about the church, the most evil thing on the planet" or something to that effect. praise god, leave the future to your faith, and "your trip will be numbingly pleasant". definitely a badass band. |
