I haven't liked her other singles much, Unwritten just gets on my nerves. This is her first single that I have liked. And I REALLY like it. It's just so beautiful, the melody, the track, the lyrics, everything. And she doesn't sound so nasal or forced on this one either. Plus, I can relate to the lyrics which always helps. |

I have to say, I like this band. And before you call me uneducated and follow it up with some rather unimaginative expletives, just hear me out.
Not all people like McFly. Fair enough, there is not a single group or solo artist that every single person on the planet adores.
But to waste so much time and energy putting down bands you don't like on the internet...I mean, honestly, do you people not have social lives? And is ranting about bands you don't care about actually ENTERTAINMENT to you? Do you honestly get joy out of this?
If yes, then not only do you have a really warped sense of humour, but you probably also need professional help.
Not all of us like hearing 'serious' music 24/7. Sometimes it's nice to just put something light and positive into the CD player and relax, as averse to contemplating slitting your wrists over a metal track about how much the singer hates his parents.
If you actually knew the first thing about music (and I mean more than just being able to name the members of the band) then you'd actually hear that this stuff isn't badly written at all, in fact it's quite good.
I should know, I'm a professional classically trained musician and I've been studying music ever since I learnt to read.
So grow up and let us enjoy ourselves. |

he used a knife and killed prostitutes, not classmates, teachers, policemen and judges!
it's not about ANYBODY.
they made the story up themselves! it's not impossible, it just requires a little talent for storytelling and a small dose of imagination.

This is one of the few Texas songs that I like, but I absolutely love it.
I heard it recently for the first time in a long while, and properly listened to the lyrics.
It spoke to me because if I could write down a certain situation I am in, this is what it would read like.
I have an ex who has a few commitment and relationship issues. I know as well as he does that we are both in love, but he can't handle it.
I want to help him handle it. At the moment he is scared and panics as soon as he feels anything remotely like an emotion, (not his fault) so if I could sing this to him I would. |

yeah, our choir di it in college. our choir is compulsory for all music students, so you have all the cool guys who stand there looking awkward, mumbling rather than singing. then this American choirmaster came to give us a masterclass and got us to do this song. You should have seen the reaction! Even the cool jazz guys were just swept away! they actually sang! the atmosphere was incredible. after we finished it was just silence. never before or since has a piece had such an effect on us. beautiful. |
