i think this song is about the persecution Christians experience every day. what the world doesn't know is that the christians say "bring it on" because they have God and suffering for Him is a great honor and brings Him glory. i think "let the flames begin" means bring it on, we'll still be dancing and praising God even when you burn down our houses. i also think the line "somewhere weakness is our strength" comes from 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness" which basically says that if you surrender to Him, God will take your weaknesses and turn them into power for the Lord. this is my favorite song of all time. it IS inspiring. |

i don't think this song is about a relationship, but that's just me. i see it like there's a person who strayed away from home, isn't in with his family, maybe is close with his siblings and it's starting to take a toll on him. in my own experience, the person straying from home would be involved heavily with alcohol and feeling hopeless. Tell me why My mind is moving to places I never thought it'd go. Welcome home, I see new faces, but faces are all I really know. [PRE-CHORUS] Maybe I'll find a way out of here, Darling, my dear. Maybe I'll find home away from home. Will I ever know? I can see it... i think the beginning of that is when he is realizing that he's on the wrong path and he isn't understanding what is up. Does it feel like home? (Does it feel like, feel like, home?) Does it feel like home? Will I ever know when it feels like home? i feel like he went home but it wasn't the same because of what he did to his family emotionally because of his choices. he's broken them down and it's just not the same to be at home because there is the undercurrent of his alcoholism. Said, "I don't know... Where I lost her, darling said she'd never leave." She's crawling up The stairs, I can hear her, She's calling my name and it kills! i think the speaker may be the sibling of the person who strayed away. and now the sibling is really seeing the person in his element of alcohol and seeing the affects on him (or maybe her, in this song). the sibling said she'd never leave (home, the family) but the sibling doesn't know where things went wrong. now the sibling sees his/her sibling while drunk or w/e and shes literally crawling up the stairs calling her name, maybe in anger, maybe in sorrow. i could be analyzing this too much. but i've experienced this type of thing first hand and it really fits here. i feel like jonezetta is more intelligent than to write a vague song about a relationship. |

i think this song is about exposing the reality of popularity and wealth and materialistic things that don't get you anywhere in the long run. i get a sense that it's a little bit angry because the person being spoken to is completely oblivious and arrogant just living however he wants to while the speaker is really working hard for what he has. also: the speaker is able to be true to himself while the person being spoen to is being exposed in the song for not actually being stable. this song is my ringback :] i love the energy in every song by Jonezetta. |

i've been thinking about this song in a different context lately. what if it is more about a family issue? like a sibling that is making bad choices with drugs or alcohol, and not thinking of her family and how it affects them. If "isabelle" and the speaker were close, it could really take a toll on the speaker if isabelle is making bad choices. the speaker wonders what isabelle is thinking when she makes such choices and then the speaker ends up driving around looking for her just to make sure she's okay. I think when the speaker talks about communicating he/she is saying that things at home will never be the same with the choices isabelle is making. when the speaker says he's like the blue skies, etc., i think he is saying that he is just going on with life while isabelle is ruining hers. and it kills him. if anyone has ever experienced this type of feeling, you'll see how it fits into the song. i know i can really relate to it. |

i think this song is about God and how He is something to grab onto always. an anchor is something that keeps you where you need to be-which could be in any number of places-and God knows which place is the right place, and He will anchor you there. if you look at this song as God being an anchor, all of the other lyrics just slip into place as well. |

i think its about a person trying to overcome a large life obstacle (possibly medical condition) and they're trying to act as if it's not real to help them get through it. they realize that this method doesn't work because then reality smacks them in the face, and they end up falling. "Would you catch me if I fall out of what I fell in Dont be surprised if I collapse down at your feet again I don't want to run away from this I know that I just don't need this" i feel like this part refers to a friend or boyfriend/girlfriend the person has and the person has pushed them away...and then realizes they need them. the person really tries to pretend everything is fine and that they can do everything on their own when truly they are just not okay. they shouldn't have to go through something like that. i can really relate to these lyrics. |

i relate this song to like a falling in love with a best friend type of thing. it's a change for her so she's starting to question things but she "wants" him differently..if he doesn't want her that way, she's scared because he is her best friend. she's asking herself/the boy if he's just leaving her to be alone or if he really wants to be with her. i love this song, it's so soothing and it really makes you think. i think everyone here has a neat take on it |

I could be completely wrong (considering the usual deepness of Mainstays lyrics) but I think this could be about a relationship. I don't think i understand most of this song, but i really love the sound of it. I think the person singing was broken up with and is thinking about the other persons motives. Now he is realizing that it is for the better and that he'd rather change for himself than for the other person. In the middle he is again thinking about the other persons motives and for some reason..something significant was going to happen in october..if it had only come sooner... i donno. but i really love the sound of this song. |

this song means so much to me. to me it's almost about not fitting in. (i also relate it so relationships..but whatever) i might have to break it down by the lyric. "all i know is everything is not as it's sold but the more i grow the less i know" in one tiny cliche word...drama. as this person becomes older shy become oblivious to what is going on around them. they are drifting from what they know as a comfort zone. "And I have lived so many lives Though I'm not old And the more I see, the less I grow The fewer the seeds the more I sow" this person is very wise. they are knowledgeable regarding life and other things, but sometimes that doesn't get you where you need to be regarding fitting in. as she gets older she drifts further. and the less there is to work from, the more the grabs at it..the fewr the seeds are the more work she puts into it, hoping it will give the seeds a certain health they wouldn't have otherwise. This song seems very dense to me. I think that it is generally about being yourself..but also about not submitting to others and..for lack of a better word, their shit. in a cliche teenage way it makes me think of a girl who has hooked up with a boy and then he decides to stop talking to her right after. and shes saying "hey, there's more to me" girl is having an epiphany of who she is and that she doesn't need said boy to make her feel good about herself and that she is indeed better for much more than just..a hook up. i'm sure that's NOT what it is about..but..analogy? |

i think this song is about young love. the only reason i think that is because she says "little boy" and not just "boy". this song just makes me so elated i don't know where to begin.. I think it's about experiencing for the first time, what it really means to love somebody. very cliche, but it is a reality. it also seems to me that this song has a sense of innocence..and then as the song goes on a think it's about maturing in each others company. becoming one, supporting eachother. Needing eachother. As the song ends i feel a sense of flashback..like together they are looking back and realizing how perfect everything is.. so wonderful! |

I think this song in it's literal mening is simply about staying with someone...being there for them.. but i think it also goes through how hard that is. it's not all just happyhappy let's stay together forever. it's about committment and the hardships...but this person is willing to do it. i think it sounds very possible that it could be about his mom..but it almost sounds a little too angry. i donno. |

I see this song about a person who people are afraid to become close with..for whatever reason..medical issues, etc. When you go through something like that, and realize that people don't want to be close to you, you think "what's the point?" and keep a few people close and others are just...there. I think this song demonstrates a person who has forgotten how/doesn't wan't to become close with someone because generally, people are afraid of becoming close to her! Then, some other person (who has been there all along or is just sort of showing up) is trying to encourage her and say "look, i want to be close with you. i'm not afraid." the girl doesn't realize how much she really needs this peson to help her get through her issues...as soon as she lets him love her, truly, she feels worthy..of living, being a person. she is not afraid of anyone/anything because she has this one person to get her through the day..she finally let love in. this song is so personal to me in that way, it is truly wonderful. |
