| Thrice – Wood and Wire Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
It sounds like a man awaiting his death penalty to me. "You lead me where men fear to tread but towards the thing I most desire" he desires his death.. so I'd have to agree with brooks450 about this man having a clean conscience and knowing he is headed to heaven. Anyhow, musically I find this song amazing. But then again I'm finding this whole album amazing. |
|
| Thrice – In Exile Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I think this is definitely about the afterlife. and "being in but not of the world." Coming from a Christian perspective of the earth is not our home, this life is temporary.. I'm really loving this song. |
|
| Future of Forestry – If You Find Her Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| just because he wrote it for his wife doesn't mean it isn't already spiritual. the way i interpreted it is as God telling his believers to tell His other children that he loves them. to let God's love be evident. I can most definitely see where other people are coming from though, that was just what popped into my head. | |
| Relient K – Here I Go Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|

|
| Relient K – Nothing Without You Lyrics | 16 years ago |

they released it on The Birds and the Bee Sides. this song makes me smile. :) |
|
| Between the Trees – A Time For Yohe Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i agree that this is a great song. and a pretty great band as well. the chorus kinda reminds me of Ecclesiastes 3 a time to break down, and a time to build up a time to weep, and a time to laugh a time to mourn, and a time to dance (v.3-4) |
|
| Red – Nothing and Everything Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
i like that this is the ending to the deluxe edition. it's like a conclusion. and that the ending changed from the conflict "it's nothing, it's everything" (in fight inside) to simply, "it's everything" idk. just felt like it was a good ending to a great CD. |
|
| Red – Forever Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
this is probably my favorite song on the CD and I took it to be about reaching out and finding your way back to God I related it to those times in life where nothing seems right and you're on the verge of hitting rock bottom and when it seems like the game is over and it's not even worth it anymore, God shows up to pick you back up and takes you out of that dark place. idk thats just what i think, and i can definitely relate to that. either way i love this song. |
|
| Red – Mystery of You Lyrics | 17 years ago |

this is an amazing song. and i definitely love the new CD |
|
| Between the Trees – The Fort Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Ryan's vocals reminded me of Jon Foreman too! I really like/love this band. And I think A child? like us, is all we need might be A childlike love is all we need thats how it sounded to me at least. |
|
| Stellar Kart – Me and Jesus Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this is such a great song and has pretty much the most positive message. i love it =) | |
| Jeremy Camp – Let it Fade Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i love this song. | |
| Falling Up – Goodnight Gravity Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm absolutely in love with this song. | |
| Flyleaf – Something I Can Never Have (NIN cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| key words here... cover song. | |
| Flyleaf – Broken Wings Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I agree that I think this song is about a relationship with God. And when she says "Please don't leave just yet Can you stay a moment please" I think she's means more like the presense of God, He is always with you, but there are times that moreso than ever that you can feel Him right there with you and it's a feeling you never want to let go of, and that's what I think of with this song. |
|
| Mae – We're So Far Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
ok, I just want to start by saying to the people that think that theire interprtations are the only ones to SHUT UP! You can read into it however you want and you can say it means whatever to you, but that doesn't mean that that is really what the song was written about. Personally when reading these lyrics I do see it as he is talking about the life of Jesus "Remembering, everything About my world and when you came Wondering the change you'd bring Means nothing else would be the same" That's exactly what that means to me. But that doesn't mean that's what he was really writing this song about. And to JerryNipple you really need to get over yourself you make Christians sound bad, Christians don't desperately try to turn things into something Christian or turn it around so we can shove it in a non-believers face or something. And don't say "obviously" it means this or that because unless you personally wrote this song I dont think you know. so dude shove it! I guess I could also somewhat see how it could be about a relationship but that's not the first way I saw it. But that doesn't make me wrong or right. |

| The Rocket Summer – So Much Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| it greats who everyone always get's in fights over these things. you guys this is the good thing about music, it's usually open to intereptation. Read into it however you want. The only true way to really know what he meant is to ask Bryce Avary himself what he was writing this song about. | |

| Thousand Foot Krutch – Falls Apart Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I totally agree with the first two comments. Life falls apart when you walk away from God, plain and simple. awesome song! =) | |
| Flyleaf – Eyes To See Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Alright, I sort of agree with chris.p here. I think it could be about God kind of trying to make Himself obvious to show this oblivious person that, the world can be cruel and people make mistakes, but He forgives you, excepts you, and loves you in spite of it. But it is like this person just doesn't want to listen or pay attention to the truth.. "If you had eyes to see Down inside your stomach Then you would understand What I mean Who I am" If you truely look for God you find Him and everything is beautiful. Well that's what I think... |
|
| The Afters – Thank God I'm Not The One Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I definitely agree with both of those comments. and this song is truly amazing and touching. | |
| Casting Crowns – Praise You With The Dance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Ah I love this song! Casting Crowns played this when I saw them at Creation NE and it was so fun. They're great. | |
| Thousand Foot Krutch – Move Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I must say that it bugs me so much how the rock heads out there listen to music just for the music but pay no attention at all to the lyrics, what they mean, or what the band stands for. example: the first few comments and then of course there is zgmf-x24s .... DUDE their a Christian band! And yes, that does not mean that every single song is a direct message about Jesus or God, which is actually probably a good reason some Christian bands don't always label themselves as Christian bands.. but anyways, just b/c they are a Christian band, no they don't always have to be about Christianity but I think more times than not, they are about Christianity. | |
| Aaron Shust – My Savior My God Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song gives my chills also. I saw him play this live at Creation Fest this summer and I just about cried. Powerful song. And I agree with Marlie88, this song pretty much does just about simply sum up the main points of Christianity/ | |
| Lifehouse – Broken Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree with Mongolfriends. That's exactly what this song made me think of right away. | |
| Skillet – Better Than Drugs Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I love this band and this song. I like that it interests people who are not religious. I am a Christian but I think I can relate to RachelAFS. I don't like to think of Christianity as a religion but more like a relationship with God. | |
| Relient K – High of 75 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| ha I almost always have to laugh when I listen to this song b/c it makes me think of Ohio weather, and the fact that 3 of the 5 members of Relient K are from my hometown in Ohio. And Ohio weather can be pretty bi-polar.. haha. this was a dumb post, you'll have to excuse my lameness. =) | |
| Sherwood – The Best In Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song has grown on, at first I didn't like it as much b/c it reminded me of Hellogoodbye, who I'm not a huge fan. But then I saw them play this live and love it. These guys play an amazing live set. They have such a good energy when they are on stage. | |
| Relient K – Hoopes I Did It Again Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Haha I from Canton and actually their old manager or producer used to live behind me. lol but anyway this song is sweet out of their old stuff. And they are so right in saying: "Ohio has the flavor of a water chestnut Its not too crazy and its not the best but..." So true. :-P |
|
| Manchester Orchestra – Where Have You Been Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| awesome song. i saw then live, they were an opener for Brand New, this band is amazing! love 'em. | |
| Relient K – In Like A Lion (Always Winter) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| haha the first time i heard this i thought about the crappy ohio weather... since Relient K is, or at least both Matts idk about the other kick butt rockers, are from Canton and winter here sucks and its ugly. which isnt what this song was about but it made me think of that ... just felt like sharing for no reason... im a dork like that haha. | |
| Waking Ashland – Rumors Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i agree with strokes and phlp. i kinda say this from a Christian point of view but i was never sure if Waking Ashland had like a religious background or not. but what strokes and phlp said makes perfect sense, to me anyway. | |
| Waking Ashland – Shades Of Grey Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song is absolutly beautiful. | |
| Barlow Girl – She Walked Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Oh my word I can completly relate to this song... sadly I started to walk away from my faith because of the things going on and I let myself fall apart.. So this song kinda hits home. | |
| Mae – Awakening Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| well either way its a beautiful song and i saw it with a religious view as well, like alycia, but which ever way you look at it, it is still beautiful. mae rocks. | |
| Mae – Awakening Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i agree with eod the vocals dont really sound like Dave to me either. | |
| Flyleaf – Perfect Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
In my opinion, I think this song is definatly about God and that we are strognest through God's strength, we don't truely, completely live without it. and I love; "I tried to kill you You tried to save me" b/c I can totally relate, I have tried to push the truth away before, but in the end I realized even when you do try to push God away, He'll always love you and be waiting for you to notice Him. And as a side note to Flawless Regression, true people can't speak for the band, but we can base your thoughts of the lyrics off of other songs that are even more obviously about God, and what Flyleaf has said during interviews if you know any info behind the band. |
