This song is about comparing the life of Jesus to the life of yourself, and looking at how things would have been if you were in His shoes. We should all get down on our knees and thank God that WE didn't have to go through what Jesus went through FOR us, and for that we should be eternally grateful. This is made even more poignant when we don't even deserve it. 'True as true can be' that's what they say You are to me... when I'm SO fake. Does Your heart ache? This is the most touching song on the album.

yes i loved this song, its defenitely about that, he thanks GOD hes not the one because if he was we'd all be damned anyone but Jesus would have failed
