this is a beautiful song, even though it is quite depressing. I would never want to be in that position of missing someone that much after (what sounds like) messing up so badly.

been there, done that. we make mistakes... and we live with the consequences. sometimes you don't realize what you have. you take a chance. you go off in a completely new direction hoping to find something "better"-- but the thing is, you realize that what you had was the best thing you could have hope for. --but when you reach for it, you find that its gone. you've abandoned it. i'm guilty. guilty. guilty. of that. &living with the consequences... letting something slip through my fingers is the most painful thing. knowing that you had it but YOU risked it-- hurts the most. because when you want to blame someone else, you can only look in the mirror.
