I think it's 'solder' not 'soda', solder as in jewellery. And 'went down to have you over, going 'round a break up' not 'we down at heavy rover [???] [climb around and break up]' Song = amazing. Lots of old fans are gonna hate it, I guess a few, including myself, will love it. They've changed loads, and it just so happens that this is what the mainstream wants, but that's cool coz it's still The Kills, and they still kick aaaasss. |

It's pretty obviously about denial, and wishing she chose him not the other guy. Also, some people believe that Elvis isn't dead, because parts of him still exist, like his music and photos and stuff. Maybe the singer feels like the relationship isn't quite over/he can't accept it's over, because he still has photos of them together/love letters or something. |

This song quite scared me really. I lost a certain innocence I had under a bridge and I just felt like a complete whore. "That blue-eyed girl Became blue-eyed whore" Oh and I have blue eyes. So in a strange way I feel connected to this song, it's strange. To be honest, looking at the lyrics, in one way it could be about a girl getting sexually abused under a bridge and the singer sees her as a daughter figure (not necessarily her daughter) Or if you look at it another way, it's as if the singer is the one who sexually abused the girl under the bridge, and is regretting it. |
