Waste My Time Lyrics
Did you think that it would end up this way?
A single shadow cast in the leading role?
I've got my suitcase by the door packed with secrets you'll never know.
We lay down, you said, "Boy, don't ever let me go."
Now I'm writing all the things we couldn't show.
Trying not to waste my time tonight
But honey, all the wrong things, they feel so right.
I should have said I loved you but I just said,
"I understand."
Trying hard to keep my mind occupied
On the road for at least six weeks this time.
But satisfaction is the death of desire.
Baby I'm not satisfied.
I came home with the wood stacked in my arms.
And found out you found a new way to keep warm.
Trying not to waste my time tonight
Honey, all the wrong things, they feel so right.
I should have said I loved you but I just said,
"I understand."
Whoa x3
Trying not to waste my time tonight
Honey, all the wrong things, they feel so right.
I should have said I loved you but I just said,
"I understand."
Trying not to waste my time tonight.
Honey all the wrong things feel so right.
Should have said I loved you but I just said,
"I understand, I understand."

its a good first single of there new album, taking into account brand new singer Danny, so i guess the whole dynamics of the band have changed
considering i was such a huge fan of Christian, the passion isnt really there in this one, but im sure it'll grow on me.
This song gets stuck in your head after hearing it once. And I love this bit "I came home with the wood stacked in my arms, and found out you found a new way to keep warm." Well I love the whole song, actually.
omg i love bedlight for blueeys! their cover of wonderwall by oasis on punk goes 90's is amazing! It's too bad they're clearly not that well known, judging by the lack of comments.
I think this song is about a guy forcing himself to say goodbye to a girl he's been with for a while, but deosn't love. At the same time, though, he's really attracted to her and knows it would be so easy to "waste his time" on something meaningless and just tell her he loves her. When he goes away to look for something better and comes home empty handed, he sees that she's already replaced him. Basically he's just bummed out he didn't keep going with the easy gig and had to challenge himself for deeper meaning
definitely agree with serenity23. this song is amazing and so catchy that its always permanently stuck in your head. I especially love the intro. I think when the boy leaves, its him on tour and he knows he leaves frequently and he doesn't want to get into a committment if he can't follow through with it. i think he does love her, but doesn't want to hurt her. too bad he's the one who gets hurt when he comes home and she's with someone else. tragically brillant!
Correction for serenity23: They didn't do a cover of Wonderwall, they did Jumper by Third Eye Blind...
oh whoops my bad thats what i meant...there is a cover of wonderwall on punk goes 90's tho, but its by cartel. sorry for the mess up
