MySpace Lyrics
tell me all about yourself
tell me all about your favorite bands
how they're super-indie-neo-hardcore
tell me all about your favorite hobbies
and the way you love sunsets. well who doesn't?
still i'd like the chance to really see
if what you say is true and has integrity
cause i could know everything about you
and still know nothing at all
i know that its wrong to form an opinion on
only what i see, but in my defense it's really hard to know
when myspace is the only thing that you ever show
so it seems you've got a lot of friends
how many of them know you
or even care if you're alive or dead?
when was the last time you were honest
instead of posting blogs of fake emotions?
when you finally resurface to the point of finding purpose
we'll begin to see just who you are.

i think this is mocking all the teen these days who are like obsessed wiht myspace and all that jazz, and wether thats really who they are and how instanyly poeple juge them.
agree, my favorite song by them, really funny
i think it's so true. everyone is so interested in how everyone else views them. do you know who i have on myspace? me. the real me who can't be displayed on a webpage and if you try all you get is something completely wack. because hopefully human life is more complex than some emo-posed pictures, fancy html coding, and wittily answered surveys. plus i can do real html coding and CSS. which is something that your average myspacer didn't even know exsisted
myspaaaathe is an obsession and a competition and a place for people to escape from who they really are. yeah
Yeah myspace teenagers well anyway saw these guys a while back at the mountain arts center with seventh day slumber yeah pretty great
It is about someone obsessed with my space, and hid friend gives him criticism because he could know everything about him, yet nothing at all. like if he took in everything on his myspace, it could all be false. It also talks about having a lot of friends but how many know you or have anything to do with you?
maybe this song is about being judgemental and basing your opinion on someone based on their myspace, kinda like judging a book by its cover
I love this song I personally think its about someone putting up a fake front(such as myspace) so people dont really get to know the real them, also about how you think all these people on myspace are your friends but they couldnt really care less about you

The song isn't about Myspace. It's a lot deeper than that. Myspace is a symbol for either pretending to be something you're not, or hiding what you really are. Pretending to have friends when you know they aren't really your friends, revealing superficial information (and the way you love sunsets), and faking feelings you don't have are all themes in the song. The bridge, "When you finally resurface," etc., could be viewed in the context of Eleventyseven being a semi-Christian band.
Lol, I actually did a term paper on this song a few semesters ago.
