| Deaf Havana – Times Change, Friends Leave and Life Doesn't Stop Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| It is 100% about Ryan and his departure from the band. | |
| City and Colour – Sister Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Definitely a song about depression and looking in from the outside as a brother. | |
| Miley Cyrus – Party in the U.S.A. Lyrics | 15 years ago |

| Jonny Craig – What I Would Give to Be Australian Lyrics | 16 years ago |
guest vocalist is Allison Greene Chorus to me sounds like: "the oldest road, i see no point, in flying low this time we have come for what we're owed, im bleeding it dry" Greene's part to me is: "Can you feel how close we are? Reach out and grab it, One of the shapes afraid of us, I'll bury the past, This mistake won't be the end of us, Stare into nothing, we are alive" |

| Jonny Craig – 7AM, 2 Bottles and The Wrong Road Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| to me its clearly a song having a dig at the "groupie" girls who chase after him, but that he now has his Queen in his girlfriend Crystal, doesnt want to be dragged back to his old ways and now finds girls throwing themselves at him because he's famous as pathetic... | |
| Jonny Craig – Children of Divorce Lyrics | 16 years ago |
great song.... clearly about him getting a girl pregnant, and how hes moved on whereas the girl is burdened by a child he doesnt see or acknowledge.... more than an element of real life in this song...... |

| Alexisonfire – Sons of Privillege Lyrics | 16 years ago |
America blaring in my ears all day, America, i dont see the glory of your ways, The oldest money flows through a bloodline, We'll see if your empire stands the test of time, Don't wanna, I don't wanna, Be a slave to the Sons of Privilege, Don't wanna, I don't wanna, Be a slave to the Sons of Privilege, Sweet Lady Liberty, You are the lost, though you are free, And what hides beneath, Can't tell the wolves from the sheep, America, Grin and bare the resentment of the world, With all your ugliness and arrogant self-worth, Desperate to grease the gears of the hideous machine, The swine, they writhe and praise the infallible regime, Don't wanna, I don't wanna, Be a slave to the Sons of Privilege, Don't wanna, I don't wanna, Be a slave to the Sons of Privilege, Sweet Lady Liberty, You are the lost, though you are free, And what hides beneath, Can't tell the wolves from the sheep, Lost though you are free, In America, Its time to justify your pride Sweet Lady Liberty, You are the lost, though you are free, And what hides beneath, Can't tell the wolves from the sheep, |

| Emarosa – A City Called Coma: Part II Lyrics | 16 years ago |
taken from Jonny himself: Part 1, and Part 2, are essentially a story about a couple who nobody wants together... Part 1 deals with the shock of finding out that nobody wants them together, and the male wondering if the female will stick with him through all the hate, and the male asking, then deciding that the female means enough to him to fight for Part 2 deals with the fight to sustain the relationship through everybodys disapproval but how they overcome this to stand together at the end.... |

| Emarosa – Set it off Like Napalm Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Personally to me this song has always been as Zach says Jonnys "im ok now, im over DGD, im moving on" song.... "Out of place, put him down, hes all strung out." Jonny describing his axing from DGD and their feeling towards him..... "Don't hold your breath for too long, This moments fading out now, Our souls have caught on fire, I don't really wanna walk the line, I don't really wanna cross that line, Let's make this now or never, And fade it out, the storms that I love, The heat is getting stronger, And I plan to take advantage no matter what they say, The tide is slowly going out tonight." To me this is Jonny vocalising his feelings towards his job as a singer in the band, and how he wants to grab hold of and enjoy every opportunity put in front of him.... "I don't really wanna walk the line, I don't really wanna cross that line" To me this is Jonny speaking about how he could be difficult to work with and disliked the strict regime of band life, but is acknowledging that by being late for sound checks etc., he was takings liberties but that these were never intentional "And fade it out, the storms that I love, The heat is getting stronger, And I plan to take advantage no matter what they say" To me this is Jonny speaking that as the buzz abut DGD got bigger, more and more opportunities presented themselves to him and he wanted to enjoy himself regardless of how his bandmates felt about his behaviour.... "Oh god, please open your eyes, its time to finalize, Let's make this now or never, set it off and let it burn. Take your form, let it be the scariest, Let it be most furious." To me this is Jonny saying, im in Emarosa now, we have this album that we are proud of, im going to put myself out there and give it my all with my second chance.... "I am the boy that sets your girl on fire, When she dances, oh, she knows its right, We'll send them all to hell. " Finally, to end the song this to me is Jonny basically putting his cards on the table and saying that at the end of the day its his voice that the fans love, the fans still love him now that he's in Emarosa and is a big "F You" to DGD with the "send them all to hell".... probably miles away from the mark but just my personal feeling |

| Enter Shikari – Return to Energiser Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| although the song and in particular the title "return to energiser" is influenced by Quaser, they actually wrote the song after seeing Faithless live and visiting local nightclub "Fabric" | |
| Enter Shikari – Jonny Sniper (Album version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Jonny Sniper they did indeed claim to be a sex-ed character.... as for the song itself though as said by Rou in Kerrang magazine: "It's about people having no respect for the earth. The lyrics are about the earth crying out, telling us to fucking behave!"" |
| Enter Shikari – Today Won't Go Down In History Lyrics | 18 years ago |
small ammendment to the first verse: "You Might never meet me, For I am King. And as we march into the storms eyes, I find relief in the rain, I can hide as i lead my army Into certain Death" taken from the lyrics printed in the album sleeve |
| Enter Shikari – Labyrinth Lyrics | 18 years ago |
just a small edit, but the spoken section should actually be: "well it looks like the end is nigh for our friends here, he's finding it hard to keep his head, especially with his girl screaming in his ear. We've got to ask ourselves do they deserve this. It's a minute to make your mind up o' clock. Speak now or forever hold your peace" take from the lyrics printed in the album |
| Enter Shikari – Jonny Sniper Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Alexisonfire – That Girl Possessed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| as already said Linda Blair was in a film called "born innocent" in which her character is abused sexually and physically - hence the lines in this song | |
| Funeral for a Friend – History Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| as already said the song is about the welsh miners strike which the guys in FFAF would've lived through and possibly had parents or family friends involved in | |
| Forgive Durden – Il Tango Della Signora Frencesco di Bartolommeo di Zanobi del Giocono Lyrics | 19 years ago |
its definately about sex.... to me it sounds like taking a girls virginity most likely during a one night stand. i.e "her hands shake and tremlbing lips" because its her first time and "Button flies wanna keep you pure" as the guy struggles to undo button up jeans.... the chorus suggests the guy being more experienced and taking control and the innocent girl learning how its done and then "You've been our guest tonight But I dine alone This can never be your home" suggests to me that the girl expects a relationship but the guy only wanted a one night stand thats what i tihnk anyway - probably all wrong |
| Panic! at the Disco – I Constantly Thank God For Esteban Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i cant be bothered reading 4 pages of dialogue but yes Ryan wrote all the songs on this album.......most of them are actually about things that have happened to him in his life but as said he has a very clever way of masking this and make the songs appear 3rd party the major underlying theme is obviously mocking the "scene" as they do at a few points in the album.... there is also the element in the song about hitting out at the media and setting the record straight before the media take digs at them....i.e "So gentlemen, if you're gonna preach, For God sakes preach with conviction" the guys themselves have said that due to the way they were signed - they never played a single show before getting a record deal - they needed to send messages to the media before they wrote false things about them |
