its not got much to do with DC comics, Shikari is Japanese for "hunters" or literaly "body hunters" people who recover the dead from the battlefields etc. so as said, literaly this song introduces the "hunters" (the band) to the listener. its a bit of role-play tbh.
actually they got there name from rou's uncle (he used to be a fisher man who had a boat called shikari)

Actually. Enter shikari got the name shikari from one of their families boats which was named "shikari" shikari means hunter. Seeing as they always play this song as an introduction at their shows I think it's just introducing Enter Shikari as if they're going to change your life pretty muchh and how they've found you with their music.

M rounds right...... and for some reson everytime i listen to this song i get the feeling thats its about someone about to take revenge on someone/somthing.... but i dno... crackin song though
on their site it is claimed that Rou wrote a play when he was younger called "Shikari" or "The Hunter" in Hindi.....
they had various names when touring Hertfordshire in the early years and settled on Enter Shikari
I think it's about a war of some kind. Let me explain in more detail :-
"SHIT! SHIT" - The character is scared of the prospect of war.
"I've been hiding here for a thousand years waiting for your ghost" - Some soldiers went mad during the war in the trenches, and time went past slowly, so he is waiting for the ghost of fallen soldier.
"Your life's about to flash before your eyes" - Someone is about to die
"Stand your ground, this is ancient land, I was guided here by the spirit's hand" - Again a sign that the soldier has gone mad, but could also be interpreted as an order by a General.
"We shall meet at hell's gate, this is fate" - He believes he is ready to die, and will go to hell
"Not all is lost the spirits shreik" - May be a soldier's shout to boost morale in the trenches
"You will be hunted, we shall seek perserverance" - Maybe a threat to the enemy, to hunt them down
"Turn the page, Enter Shikari, Enter Shikari" - Sending in the people to recover the dead bodies
"We're not hiding now" - The battle is over, so the soldiers need not hide
"I'm in the zone" - The character has realised that there will be no more battle, and is extremely over the moon
"And still we will be here, standing like statues" - They are paying respects to the dead.

id agree with the other guys, it seems pretty simple. Enter Shikari are coming to rock your world (the words make perfect sense) Simple as that!!!
