What I Would Give to Be Australian Lyrics
Set it up, this is what I'm talking about,
Let me do my thing, here we go.
Waking up, I feel such a sense that my life has succumb to rely,
A cross between where I live my life and where I'm really at.
How do we get so close without us knowing where we would be?
And how do we get so old without us knowing we can't get out?
Needle leads thread, I see no point in flying alone this time,
We have come for what we're owed, I'm bleeding it dry.
How long have we both lived for the same style,
I would die for what I can do, I would die for what you can't,
Why can't we just believe in taking it so far,
That our feet don't touch the ground?
How do we get so close without us knowing where we would be?
And how do we get so old without us knowing we can't get out?
Needle leads thread, I see no point in flying alone this time,
We have come for what we're owed, I'm bleeding it dry.
Can you feel how close we are? Reach out and grab it,
One of the shapes afraid of us, I'll bury the past,
This mistake won't be the end of us,
Stare into nothing, we are alive.
How do we get so close without us knowing where we would be?
And how do we get so old without us knowing we can't get out?
Needle leads thread, I see no point in flying alone this time,
We have come for what we're owed, I'm bleeding it dry.
Let me do my thing, here we go.

Corrections in the chorus and in the female vocals definitely welcome, although it might be a little while before I see them.
Anybody know who the guest vocalist is?
Allison Green.
Allison Green.
Dunno what band, but that's what the cd booklet says.

Allison Green. From MILLIONAIRES. Ridiculous that she can sound that good and be in a band that terrible.

Yep I couldnt believe someone with such a nice voice is in a band that basically glorifies being a slut. Such a misguided waste of talent.

By the way, where did you find the leak at?
guest vocalist is Allison Greene
Chorus to me sounds like:
"the oldest road, i see no point, in flying low this time we have come for what we're owed, im bleeding it dry"
Greene's part to me is:
"Can you feel how close we are? Reach out and grab it, One of the shapes afraid of us, I'll bury the past, This mistake won't be the end of us, Stare into nothing, we are alive"
I agree. I hear "the oldest road"

Chill out, you can make your point without insulting people.

I think it is "the oldest road, i see no point, in flying alone this time" instead of "low this time".
Thanks for the suggestions, I just kind of strung those bits together at the last minute so they weren't blank.
The chorus sounds to me like he says "May I be frank? I see no point in flying alone this time..."
clearly if you listen, teh words are not that, or even close to the oldest road. its simply NEEDLE LEADS THREAD, you hear it in the background too.

oh...and who is allison green? i've looked everywhere to find other stuff she's done but can't seem to find anything
Allison Green is actually a "singer" of a band called the Millionaires along with her sister Mellisa Marie and friend Dani Artuad. They don't sing and she doesn't sing like this anywhere else. It's one of those crazy bands who just want to have fun. Look em up, you won't exactly get what you're looking for, their biggest hit is called "Alcohol' haha. She's my favorite though, and beautiful.

I actually had needle leads thread when I first posted this. I'll change it back.
After visiting this site for years, I finally had to register to say that this song is simply amazing.
