Don't come near me
I'm not the one to save your skin
But if the stars have brought you here
Then here you are

Lock me into something new
Something different from this
Cause I need bliss in the solar system, solar system

I'm a lighthouse on the edge of the rocks
But my warning light is fading, warning light is fading

Don't think you need to carry me upon your back
I ask you what do you believe?
I remember looking upward
To a night like pepper

I'm a lighthouse on the edge of the rocks
But my warning light is fading
I'm a lighthouse on the edge of the rocks
But my warning light is fading, the warning light is fading

I remember looking upward
To a night like pepper
A night like pepper
A night like pepper
A night like pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper
A night like pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper
A night like pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper, pepper
And the warning light is fading, the warning light is

The warning light is fading, the warning light is fading
The warning light is fading, but can you see me?
I remember looking upward
To a night like pepper
A night like pepper
A night like pepper

But my warning light is fading, warning light is fading

Can you see me still?

First of all, I was totally sad to see SO many comments on the "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" and none on this one. If you hear a song, and like it, explore the artist! I heard Catherine Macphee sing The Black Horse and the Cherry Tree on American Idol, LOVED the song, downloaded all her music, fell in love with KT Tunstall, and everyone else should, too! :-)

I am not a very abstract thinker, like KT is, but I see this song as her having second thoughts about a guy after spending one sizzling night with him. A Night like Pepper. Pepper is hot and spicy. But she does not want him to "carry her on his back" like committing to her and dragging her every where with him, like so many couples end up doing with each other. But her inhibitions and precautions are fading, like the light, and if the light in the light house goes out, the ship (him) will crash into the rocks and sink (heartbreak.) Can you still see me? Get it? That's what I think, but I have been addicted to this song, I LOVE singing it with her. lol!

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
