Am I the only one who thinks this song isn't just about a relationship? Seeing red could easily be a reference to shooting heroin (when you find a vein, you check to "see red" at the base of the needle so that you know). It also includes lines like:
"And baby, I'm aware of the high and the low
And I'll be waithing in the middle
But I just lack control"
Which could easily be a reference to the effects of the drug. I'm not sure if I want to say the song is about a relationship between users, or if the relationship is a metaphor for drugs... but either way, it seems to me that drug usage/addiction probably plays a part in the meaning.
Seeing red is a junkies heaven you've hit a vein. The black and white reference is about pros in cons of use though you know. wakin up sux when strung out trapped like a dog with barely No existance

@NTFG While you very well could be right, I highly doubt it. It seems every one wants to believe every god damned Sublime song is about heroin. While some of them are, or some one them do make references to it, most of it has nothing to do with heroin! People always to seem to think they are some genius because they can piece together the fact that he did heroin, then they just say every god damned thing is about heroin. In this case you really could be right, but I'm pretty sure you are wrong.
