Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Yo sé que tienes un nuevo amor
Sin embargo, te deseo lo mejor
Si en mí no encontraste felicidad
Tal vez alguien más te la dará
Como la flor (como la flor)
Con tanto amor (con tanto amor)
Me diste tú
Se marchitó
Me marcho hoy
Yo sé perder
Pero ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Si vieras cómo duele perder tu amor
Con tu adiós, te llevas mi corazón
No sé si pueda volver a amar
Porque te di todo el amor que pude dar
Como la flor (como la flor)
Con tanto amor (con tanto amor)
Me diste tú
Se marchitó
Me marcho hoy
Yo sé perder
Pero, ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Como la flor (como la flor)
Con tanto amor (con tanto amor)
Me diste tú
Se marchitó
Me marcho hoy
Yo sé perder
Pero ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Sin embargo, te deseo lo mejor
Si en mí no encontraste felicidad
Tal vez alguien más te la dará
Como la flor (como la flor)
Con tanto amor (con tanto amor)
Me diste tú
Se marchitó
Me marcho hoy
Yo sé perder
Pero ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Si vieras cómo duele perder tu amor
Con tu adiós, te llevas mi corazón
No sé si pueda volver a amar
Porque te di todo el amor que pude dar
Como la flor (como la flor)
Con tanto amor (con tanto amor)
Me diste tú
Se marchitó
Me marcho hoy
Yo sé perder
Pero, ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Como la flor (como la flor)
Con tanto amor (con tanto amor)
Me diste tú
Se marchitó
Me marcho hoy
Yo sé perder
Pero ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele
Ah-ah-ay, cómo me duele

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
Plastic Bag

Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
why doesn't anybody comment on her spanish songs? you can look at other sites for the english translations if that's the problem...anyway, this song is about love...(duh)...it's about how love should last if it was ever true. it's about a girl seeing a former love w/ his new love. i know exactly how that feels...and i didn't realize it until now. i'm stupid! anyway, yeah. you ppl should look at selena's spanish songs more often.

This song is really beautifull, i love it!..i also love Selena's song Dreaming Of You, it's soo cutie too!
This is such a beautiful song. One of my Selena favorites. I would love to talk to A.B. and Pete one day and talk about these songs. They were written so skillfully.
Yo sé que tienes un nuevo amor [I know that you have a new love] Sin embargo te deseo lo mejor [Nevertheless, I wish you the best] Si en mí no encontraste felicidad [If you cannot find happiness in me] Tal vez alguien más te la dará [Perhaps somebody else can give more to you]
(Coro) Como la flor (como la flor) [Like the flower] Con tanto amor (con tanto amor) [With so much love] Me diste tú [You gave me you] Se marchitó [He marched] Me marcho hoy [I march today] Yo sé perder [I know I lost] Pero ay... [But, oh] Cómo me duele [How it hurts me] Ay... [Oh...] Cómo me duele [How it hurts me]
Si vieras como duele perder tu amor [If you saw how it hurts to lose your love] Con tu adiós te llevas mi corazón [With your goodbye you took my heart] No sé si peuda volver a amar [I don't know if I can return to love] Porque te di todo el amor que pude dar [Because I gave you all the love I could give]
(Coro)
*I'm not totally sure about the translation for "marchitó" because I don't know that conjugation, but it shouldn't be too far off.
Correction: I did get the marchitó line wrong as well as the one after that. It really means "He left, I leave today"
Se marchitó- It wilted or withered away
Selena's voice is so pure and beautiful! She was one of the greatest artists in history. This is one of my favorite songs by her. It's so pretty!
