My TV And You Lyrics
My TV and you
It's the only place to be
Nothing else to do
Nothing else to see
A room without a view
Has so much for me and you
I was born to stare
At stars on ceiling walls
It's all I need
It's all I ever needed
Until the world is gone
Take me how I am
'cause you know I'll never change
I was born to stare
At who stares back at me
If I make it up
To that big show in the sky
All I really want
Is my TV and you
It's all I need
It's all I ever needed
Until the world is gone
Da, da, da....
It's all I need
It's all I ever needed
My love for life is gone
It's the only place to be
Nothing else to do
Nothing else to see
A room without a view
Has so much for me and you
I was born to stare
At stars on ceiling walls
It's all I ever needed
Until the world is gone
'cause you know I'll never change
I was born to stare
At who stares back at me
To that big show in the sky
All I really want
Is my TV and you
It's all I ever needed
Until the world is gone
Da, da, da....
It's all I ever needed
My love for life is gone

All Jon needs Is his t.v. and his woman, and he is set forever!
Indeed.
A few of his songs seem to be based around the same theme "take me as I am 'cause you know I'll never change" e.g. What Else Fo I Need? being another example
Jon must have been going through some dark times when he wrote this. I have a lot of respect for how he can be so honest about sharing his unflattering state of mind. Also, what are "ceiling walls" and why are there stars on them??
@CrabMcNasty I assumed that stars get on ceilings and walls by using a projector.

One of my fav songs by VAST. Seriously, I love that it's kind of a sharply witty and clever way to describe his relationship, and it's got a great beat.
