I once read a book by C.S lewis called Prince Caspian, which is part of the Chronicles of Narnia. In the book Prince caspian is taught the ways of Narnia, which was thought to be just an ancient legend. Caspian defeats his enemies and becomes King Caspian X. He is later called Caspian the Seafarer, following his travels to the World's End. Surely this song is based upon the book, I would recommend you read the book, if you have not already, it is a childrens book however the entire series is enjoyed by all ages.
yeah, the chronicles of narnia are great books. and this song has to be about the prince caspian from them. i love this song. it's very tranqil.

Phish's music is absolutly amazing. Acid aside, are any of you guys musicians? Some of the most emotional and spiritual moments I've had with the band come from playinging their music. Whether its as complicated as YEM or Divided Sky, or as simple as this (its just G-C with a Dsus2 thrown in occasionally) you can really feel it deep in your soul...to float upon a wave....
If anyone has EVER hit a bong they know that is not what it sounds like, unless it's a gigantic, monster bong. The bubbling is much more high pitched. That is for sure just ocean songs.

I am a huge phish head, with hundreds of live shows in my archive, but in terms of just my favorite songs of all time, this is it, mainly because the time of my life when I discovered this song (and most importantly, Phish) and every time I recall that part of my life, this song is the soundtrack.
For a song of this style, they've had some surprisingly good jams off of it live.
Boise Idaho 95 - the stairs all led 2 doors around the stadium and only one stair-case doorway was left open .. in that stair-case was a silhouette of a guy dancing ( in shadow formation ) Trey was watching him and stopped when he stopped and jammed when he jammed etc ,... Salt Lake Utah was the next day and as i recall Trey says in the beginning (if my memory serves correct) that he 'wrote this last night' ... someone who has a boot-leg tape of that night in Utah i want to know if im right. And thanks Trey for my 1st show - i asked the security to close those damn doors - Ickulus
