We're talking away
I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Today is another day to find you
Shyin' away
Oh, I'll be comin' for your love, okay

Take on me
(Take on me)
Take me on
(Take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two

So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
But I'll be stumblin' away
Slowly learnin' that life is okay
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry

Take on me
(Take on me)
Take me on
(Take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two

All the things that you say, yeah
Is it life or just to play my worries away?
You're all the things I've got to remember
You're shyin' away
I'll be comin' for you anyway

Take on me
(Take on me)
Take me on
(Take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day
(Take on me)
(Take on me)
(Take me on)
(Take on me)
I'll be gone
(Take on me)
In a day
(Take me on)
(Take on me)
(Take on me)
(Take on me)
(Take me on)
(Take on me)

The songs meaning is obvious to me, well because as a lezbo, I can relate, otherwise not so much...(lol)

Anyway, here's my take on "Take on Me":

Talking away I don't know what I'm to say I'll say it anyway today's another day to find you Shying away I'll be coming for you love O.K.

(In the verse above, it seems like the guy is rather determined to be with the girl, he'll say and do whatever to be with her, even though she's shying away, hence the line "i'll be coming for your love O.K.")

Take on me Take me on I'll be gone in a day or two

(I think the chorus means what it says. that he wants her to take him on.. so he wants her to catch up with him, as he's been trying to be with her...)

So needless to say I'm odds and ends But that's me, stumbling away Slowly learning that life is O.K. Say after me It's no better to be safe than sorry.

(I think this verse summarizes his feelings for what he thinks she might not be willing to be with him...it seems like he's stumbling aways from their not dis-connectedness and so he wants her to learn that in life and at all "its no better to be safe than sorry" or even if its risky its better to make the most of every opportunity that presents itself while the sun's still in the sky!!!)

Take on me Take me on I'll be gone in a day or two.

The things that you say Is it live or just to play My worries away You're all the things I've got to remember You shying away I'll be coming for you anyway

(I think this girl has a cooling effect on him. She takes away his worries but she's shying away from possibly getting close)

Take on me Take me on I'll be gone in a day or two

I can liken this to a couple thats not getting close enough because one of them thinks its too risky...has happened to me...hence the line again! "Its no better to be safe than sorry"

What do guys think of my interpretation?? Any add-ons??

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
