Target Form Lyrics

We are little kids
making grown-up decisions
that will last for twice as long
as our feeble vision.

Laughing at the undertow,
we define our youth.
And soon our dreams will change
and become American.

Time is nothing more than a series of choices.
Our minds are mere collections
of different timbre voices.

Our dreams are realized or forgotten.
We are what we become.
We are growing up, but not fast enough.
Be now while you are young.

The person in your mind is no coincidence.
Conform to the archetype that regulates the mint.

Friends are Christmas cards
fifteen years from now.

Cover art for Target Form lyrics by Cool Hand Luke

Imagine an Informant who's sole purpose is to snuff out the childlike faith of a believer. This song is written by the believer who tries to put to words the message of the Informant.

"we are little kids" -->The Informant is older than the writer of this song. "making grown up decisions" --> "grown up" in contrast with who they are. "Laughing at the undertow" --> The informant tells them that if they place their hope and stability where the grown ups do (wealth), they will be happy and mock those who still value friends and principles and Jesus. "we define our youth" --> Jesus doesn't. "and soon our dreams will change" --> The Informant reminds them that their dreams aren't caused so much by their belief in Christ, but that they are caused by their youthfulness.

The rest of the song goes just like this, with more messages that they should grow up, sell themselves out, forget their friends, not pursue their dreams, and not have childlike faith.

Target Form is a faith-less, dream-less, true-friend-less, Jesus-less rich American.
