Debating The Axiom Lyrics
The breath of God is gone
The breath of God is gone
Feel the iron hand closing in
The screams and swallowed by the darkness of the womb
Swearing to a deity in whom they don't believe
Their lifted voices are the pictures of the past
So the choice is made
To strip away a pulse and a chance to love
They said that she would be fine
In a short amount of time
The memories are still splinters in her heart
They're trying to forget and wipe away regret
God forgave them but they won't forgive themselves
The breath of God is gone
The breath of God is gone
The breath of God is gone
The breath of God is gone
Try to take control
Of the lack of self control
Try to take control
you can not kill a soul
We won't forget
So drop the line
We've swallowed lies
murder is not a choice
When will this end?
When will this end?
When will this end?
When will this end?
The breath of God is gone
The screams and swallowed by the darkness of the womb
Their lifted voices are the pictures of the past
To strip away a pulse and a chance to love
In a short amount of time
The memories are still splinters in her heart
God forgave them but they won't forgive themselves
The breath of God is gone
The breath of God is gone
The breath of God is gone
Of the lack of self control
Try to take control
you can not kill a soul
We won't forget
So drop the line
We've swallowed lies
murder is not a choice
When will this end?
When will this end?
When will this end?

This song is so awesome, the line "murder is not a choice" really makes you think about how women are given the choice of abortion and just how wrong it is because it's a child that they're murdering. It's so sad
yeah. for some reason, i never thought of this song as being about abortion. now that i read the lyrics again with that in mind, it is quite clear that that is what it is about.
I love the title to this song, because whether or not you accept that human life starts in the womb determines the rest of the argument.
This song is such a great representation of the silent death we are surrounded by.
