Destroying Transduction Lyrics
i guess it's true--what i've always heard
we make ourselves feel better with hurtful words
and more times than i care to even know
we hurt the ones we love the most
forgiveness is what i'm looking for
but you don't owe me anything at all
it feels like i'm stabbing my own back
i can't believe i'm drowning in the words
i should not own
and so this day I make a vow
to never open my mouth
against another living soul
be it friend or foe
but is this real
or empty conviction?
just another good idea
because I'm a Christian?
just to make sure
i'll cut out my tongue
destroy the transducers
and make myself numb.

this would be great, cut out my tongue so I don't slander anymore, that's just awesome, the singer for CHL is about 4 feet tall and 80 pounds, he's little...
and he's their drummer
"destroy the transducers" by cutting out the tongue, he no longer channeled the energy that comes from the original stimulus to bad energy (speaking against another person.) The energy stays where it was and he endures it. Such awesome imagery.
Interesting that this leads to numbness. I wonder if this is the same numbing agent that is refered to in the song of that title.
