the cedar doesn't do much for these memories. i am as cold as the monuments you left for me, and another one passes in the evening. a knee deep grave and the two that raised and a tin box for the two that i loved. and i carry on. please lay out my best suit for me, and tell me every word you want to hear. every word you have said to yourself to be perfect in the end. and i carry on. a tin box for the two that love. carry on.

NO ONE!?!?! commented ont his?@kj hre.. i love this song
.:tell me every word you want to hear. every word you have said to yourself to be perfect in the end:.
this is a really good song, especially for there older stuff.
This song seems to be about the author dealing with the death of a loved one...and perhaps even contemplating his own death.
im just gonna go with renegade's idea of death..
in the second sentence, he talks about cold monuments - perhaps the coldness of a gravestone, a coffin or even of a dead body. he would have talked about wanting to kill himself (this is after all grief), or you can also take it to a less extreme emotional thing .. like how a death of a loved one reminds him of how everyone, including himself, will have to die one day:
"please lay out my best suit for me"
perhaps there is something that he wanted to tell to this dead person, and it has given him the idea of wanting to know any secrets (take a sloppy example - a secret love wanting him etc) from others:
'and tell me every word you want to hear."
or maybe he just wants to make sure that when he dies, he doesn't make anyone feel regret or imperfect..hmm
