These floods of you are unforgiving
Pushing passed me spilling through the banks
And I fall
Faster than light and faster than time
That's how memory works
At least in the dark where I'm searching for meaning
When I'm just searching for something
I want out
Out of every awkward day
Out of every tongue tied loss
I want out
Out of the burdening nightsweats
Out of the rising seas of blood
Lost in you like Saturday nights
Searching the streets with bedroom eyes
Just dying to be saved
Run on girl, run on

I think that the album tittle is "Jane Doe" because this album is about lost love and a relationship collapsing, so "Jane Doe" could be that specific person in your live that have been meaningful enough to never forget about her. "Jane Doe" is much a kind of "insert person name here" title. For me, this album is titled "J€n$y G0nz@l€z" and for anyone else that have listented (and ejoyed) it, ti has a different name. Run on girl run on, learn from your mistakes and find another Jane Doe, that one whose name you don't know yet but you know that exist and it's waiting for you :)

This is my favorite Converge song. Though I can't understand a single word Jacob says, the lyrics are good too. This song is just so epic it's amazing. Best way to end an album, IMO. Converge kicks ass.

fuck. thats all i can think of to say. i bought jane doe, and thought god the music is like the musical equivelant of someone stabbing the shit out of your head very fast, but this song is so haunting and scary. again, like a lot of people have said, i can't really match up the lyrics to the vocals, but in this song, the weird whiny melody bit after about 40 seconds says 'i want out' i think. the vocals sound like the singer(s) from znnon, and that song phoenix in flames sounds like a fucking animal in severe pain or something. very haunting and scary. not many bands come close to this. simply excellent.

when i looked up the lyrics to this song i felt sad that u can't really hear them in the song. it's amazing poetry and the song itself is just... wow. first one i heard from them, can't listen to it to often though, because it tears me apart. pure emotion.

Somewhere Only We Know
Keane
Per the FAQ on Keane's website, Keane's drummer Richard Hughes, stated the following: "We've been asked whether "Somewhere Only We Know" is about a specific place, and Tim has been saying that, for him, or us as individuals, it might be about a geographical space, or a feeling; it can mean something individual to each person, and they can interpret it to a memory of theirs... It's perhaps more of a theme rather than a specific message... Feelings that may be universal, without necessarily being totally specific to us, or a place, or a time..." With the nostalgic sentiment and the overall tone of the song, I think Keane is attempting to express a Portuguese term known as 'saudade', which does not have a direct English translation but roughly means "that which we remember because it is gone."
