I agree with you emocore. I think when he is saying 'The phone is ringing in my head again' he is talking about the call from God (or death) telling him it's time for him to go. But he's too scared to do anything. And he says that we all need to start living our lives out of the shadows and not to be afraid anymore. Some advice I need to give myself.
that's tight littlelostemoboy. i often find myself afraid to step out of the shadows. i always tell myself to do things while i listen to songs, but its different when your in reality, away from your own utopia.
I think that this song is in general about someone who is afraid. Not just of death, but of life also. and of change. and of risk. just fear, you know? "it's hard to dream if you're a ghost" meaning that the person is so afraid that they turn into a shadow of a person. and he's trying to tell the person that it's only a matter of time before we fade out, so just live your life. Hee hee. okay, I'm done.
I think it's about slowly down and taking your time with things. And what made him notice is was these "angels" that came from the sky to give him this message, and that he knows he should change, but he is too afraid to.

Wow maybe I'm off my bean but it JUST hit me like... less than a minute ago... MAYBE it's about suicide. Anyone who's ever thought about and attempted suicide knows how it goes. At first you think about it and you wanna do it but you're too scared. Then it's like a phone rings in your head and you're scared that this time when your gonna actually do it because you know that it's not gonna get better and shit... Then when you get it and wanna cut your wrist of w/e and almost die you think "I don't wanna die I need to change". Heck, I dunno. To me the song COULD be about suicide though the other theories are much better. Read the lyrics over and see for yourself how they could be about it.

hahahahahahaha yeah ive been there and ironically it was thursday with there amazing music that kept my from continuing.....i guess its safe to say thursday has saved my life. they have filled my life with great music which leads to great joy.thursday has helped me realise how selfish suicide is and im berry glad for that. go thursday! :):):):):):):):):):) AIM : iamthepooman
