Wrong, Harry Hood is Hood Dairies' mascot. The Harry Hood sign was neon and would shut off at night. Thus the lyric, "Where do you go when the lights go out?" You can feel good about Hood is the company's slogan.

There are many different origins of this song.

Page and Jon i believe had an apartment across from the Harry Hood factory.

The music was written by Trey & Fish in Europe.

The lyrics/idea of the song was inspired by all of them doing acid, and looking across at "Harry Hood" on the billboard and wondering "Where does he go." Told to me by someone who went to college with Phish and was there in the apartment when that happened.
