I think if people paid more attention to the last line of this song, they wouldn't play it at their weddings so much. She's a narcissist. He's doing his best to meet her impossible expectations. In the end he loses complete sense of self. This is not a love song. It's a tragedy.

I don't know why anyone has written about this song. I love it. The voice solo's of the woman are amazingly touching to me. I enjoy chillen with my girl and listening to it. If anymore phans out there like this song too, please write about it!

She's the lady that sings in this song..she also plays the fiddle. I love this song, it was the first song I forced on people who didn't like phish to convert them. It didn't work, but I think they're deaf
