All about the confusion that sets in when you wonder if you are going down the right path in your life.

This song is about playing the arcade game, Pac-Man.

Pac-Man is moving through the maze, and he's hunting power pellets.

"And I take a wrong turn and I'm on the wrong path And the people all watching enjoy a good laugh"

Uh oh! Pac-Man made a wrong turn and ran across some ghosts!

"Embarrassed with failure, I try to reverse The course that my tread had already traversed"

Pac-Man tries to escape the ghost by turning around and going the way he came.

"So doing the trauma engulfing my dream Invaded through what was an unguarded seam"

Pac-Man went through one of the those side exits, and came out the other side.

"The torrent of helplessness swept me away To the cavern of shame and the hall of dismay"

But the ghosts got him anyway.

No matter how many pellets he eats, Pac-Man only finds himself in another maze, after maze, after maze...
