Fluffhead was a man with a horrible disease
Could not find no cure, won't you help him if you please?
Fluff came to my door askin' me for change
His eyes were clear and pure but his mind was so deranged
Fluff went to a banker askin' for some bills
The banker said, "I ain't got that but I sure got some powerful pills."

Well. Phish like to hit the bong occasionally. So to me this song is about a man "fluffhead" and he needs help. The help he needs is only found in marijuana. His eyes are pure and clear, cause when you smoke out they are blood shot. So he isnt high. And his mind is deranged, when your high your peaceful and mellow. So He goes to the banker cuz he needs money to buy weed from the Phish man who answered the door. But the banker like most of the society we live in today, think he just wants to get high, and says here take these pills. When will we learn that a natural substance can help one so much more that pot? Well thats my analysis.
Just read baout this in the PHiSH book last night. Tom (wrote most of the songs) had a brother who was dying of cancer. Him and Trey were at a Dead show and saw a guy there who was on chemo. Most of his hair has fallen out, except for a few fluffs of hair around the back. Tom wrote the song about that, but looking back, said it was really about his brother...
Actually the song was written by Steve Pollak, A.K.A the Dude of Life, but yes it was inspired by a man with cancer at a dead show, and his brother did have cancer at the time.
