agreed, unless you got married really young, you definitely have dated a guy like this, you just didn't realize it; I'll admit it, not saying I'm proud of it, but I've had this atttutude with pretty much, well, most of the girls I have dated with the exception of my ex-wife...if my current gf, its not like this now, but it defeinitely started out like that...I'm in my late 30s if that matters at all

This song to me is about a guy who's intentions are always to conquer a woman intimately & he finds himself with one in whom he's met his match. She wants love & in order to stay with her he's gotta have that mindset but a tiger never changes his stripes as the saying goes. He warns her of his intentions but she won't stand down or sympathize.
how come more people don't know about the afghan whigs? they need to listen to this music. damn, gentelmen is the most amazing album about depression and break ups that i have ever heard. it's a masterpiece and needs to be treated as such.
Yep. Afghan whigs is one of the best bands ever... but most people never heard them... This song is great. I tell girls i know that if they want to really know how guys think-listen to 'be sweet'.
Although I've never dated a guy like this, the song gives me some insight into guys in general! Great guitar bit near the beginning, one of my favourite songs off "Gentlemen". I think I know a guy like this actually...
