Thinking About Forever Lyrics
Time goes by and God knows I try to carry on with life
Decide not to hide feelings inside, even though they hurt
Sometimes, I forget to remember you
It’s easy to lock away the pains, don’t want to relive it through
But I stay strong, you taught me how to move on in this world
I married my sweetheart, even got a little baby girl
I wish you could see her, I swear she looks just like you
If you can hear me, show me a sign, please send her a butterfly or two
chorus:
I’m thinking about forever (missing you)
I know you’re so much better (we made it through)
Now I know what it means to live for someone else
To give up yourself
Things have changed, at times it gets kind of strange
Your love remains the same
Do I make you proud? Mama, can you see me now?
Whatever is good in me is because you showed me how to take love by the hand
And so now I can share you with my baby
So that she can understand
chorus
I’m thinking about forever (missing you)
I know you’re so much better (we made it through)
I’m thinking about forever (missing you)
I’m tripping on whatever (hearing you)
Decide not to hide feelings inside, even though they hurt
Sometimes, I forget to remember you
It’s easy to lock away the pains, don’t want to relive it through
But I stay strong, you taught me how to move on in this world
I married my sweetheart, even got a little baby girl
I wish you could see her, I swear she looks just like you
If you can hear me, show me a sign, please send her a butterfly or two

I know you’re so much better (we made it through)
To give up yourself
Things have changed, at times it gets kind of strange

This song is about Sonny's mum who died of cancer. It affected him alot and this is a song to her about all the things that have happened to him since that time. I think its such a sweet song that I cried the first time I heard it :-(
This is definitely one of the songs by P.O.D. that not many people know about that everyone should know about. Shows a different side of P.O.D.'s music, which on a occasion adds a very nice touch. I think it's kinda obvious that this song is about losing a significant other due to a death. The pain of loss and the difficult times of remembering back to the good times.
Yeah, when they made this song, Sonny (the lead singer for POD) his mother died. Plus the reason POD doesn't do this kinda music is cuz it's in there contract to do hrad music, Sonny himself once said that if they could do slower music he would.
I really love this song. POD is not my favorite band, but It's one of them, and this song is my favorite songs. I almost cry the first time i heard it, and the second too. It's icredible.
I think this a sweet song. I specifically listen to songs like this after, say, wrestling tournaments and still hyped and want to settle back down. I find the complete humility and honor of this band incredible.
This is one of my favourite songs of all time by a great band who have unfourtunatly been taken in by the commercial market
WHEN I HEARD THIS THE FIRST TIME I THOUGHT TO MY SELF THAT I NEVER HEARD SONNY SING A SONG ABOUT THIS MOM. WHAT A GREAT STARTED.
I love this song SO MUCH! It is so sad. I love P.O.D. hard or softer music!
"If you can hear me, show me a sign, please send her a butterfly or two " -- Could this be a reason on why the latest CD "Payable On Death" has the butterfly cover?? It makes perfect sense.
It's about Sonny's mom. It becomes really clear when he speaks to his mother.
I really like the song. One of the best of P.O.D. Sad they don't make any more songs like this one. And sad they mostly sing about God, but that's my opinion (I don't really believe anymore).
