Could take his mic around the world and flash the big S.D.
And rock the masses, from Madrid to Calabassas
Tijuana, Mexico, bootleg demos in Tokyo
They know me though, 'cause I be puttin' in work
Commit my life to rebirth, well respected, 'cause that's my word
I'm sure you heard, about a new sound going around
She might have left my hood, but she was born in my town
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
I know you know, I see you smiling at me
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South
Boom! Here comes the Boom!
How you like me now?
I'm not running off my mouth, I know this without a doubt
Cause if you know these streets, then these streets know you
When it's time to handle business, then you know what to do
Me and my crew, we stay true, old school or new
Many were called, but the chosen are few
We rise to the top, what you want? Just in case you forgot
Rush the stage, grab my mic, show me what you got
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
I know you know, I see you smiling at me
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South
Boom! Here comes the Boom!
How you like me now?
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South
Boom! Here comes the Boom!
How you like me now?
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
I know you know, I see you smiling at me
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
I know you know, I see you smiling at me
Well, it's alright! It's alright!
I'll take your best shot.

Yeah, Payable On Death refers to Jesus death, and us facing up to how we have lived our lives upon our death.
As for the debate about them being a Christian band; It's true that they said they don't want to be defined as a Christian band. That's because of the limit that the Christian music industry seems to place on bands. And beside, in my opinion, defining a genre as Christian rock, or Christian rap, etc. for that matter, is like defining all the rap songs that are about drugs in one genre, and all the songs about sex in another. Christian is a theme, not a genre.

this song is about the abuse the members used to take from punks because they were christian

What the hell is "We rep. the South..." supposed to mean? I thought they were from Cali... It's great POD is Christian and all...but they still really bother me.

they suck but im not sayin christainity is bad but they just suck like the only good song they ever made was the one on the little nicky soundtrack(school of hardknocks) but the others are like happy gay rock shit

i think pod is a pretty good christian rock band cuz if you look at the alternitive jars of clay and such they are allright later judd

south is referring to so-cal, SOUTHern california, theyre from sd-san diego

i think it means that they are from southtown california

p.o.d. 's Ok but the whole christian rock frightens me cuz i go to rock to get away from my over religious parents and to release my anger. oh well just my opinion. check out smackin isiah they rock!

Yea they are from San Diego.....where im from. See the part where it says "......and flash the big S.D"? S.D stands for San Diego. :)
